Probably there they're not so obsessed with it as in the banana republic... I know people who went on hikes with five or more booklets, then they boast how many times they've been on this or that hike. What a crap...

As for Italy, I really think it's not as systematic as in Slovenia, but stamps are there in many places anyway.

I'm wondering if some peak has no stamp or never had one. Can anyone make it on their own or do you need to contact individual PD or what?

Definitely right to inform PD and PZS. In principle no sense if PD doesn't care for that hill. Important also where hill is (e.g. TNP), agree with them or Agrarian community etc. Recommend you write to PD, name hill and ask if agree or willing to cooperate...

Definitely to place stamp need owner consent (usually state or agrarian community). And right to inform local PD too.
