On Slivnica a new stamp has been mounted since 24.06. I hope they won't destroy it as it wasn't cheap. Regards

On Snežnik it is set in concrete at the top. On Slemenova špica it wasn't there even on 22.6.

Sadly the stamp is damaged also on Veliki Kozji, it's split into two parts. With some skill it can be used. Regards Andrej

Quite a few stamps are missing in our mountains, either you reach the summit and everything is still under snow or they simply aren't there in some places. For example, I was on Košutnik Tower - convinced that there was a stamp in the box, but when I opened it, disappointment. So I really don't know what the one who took it gains from it. I appeal to the association to fix this in the shortest time possible. Unfortunately this is not an isolated case where a stamp is missing.

As far as I know, there is no stamp on Košutnik Tower at all. Disappointment - why? Photo and memories are worth more than a stamp. On the other hand, I understand since I also stamp it myself if it's there.

What if we gradually introduced some kind of electronic stamps. You reach the summit, log in to the website with your smartphone - the phone reads your GPS location and sends it. On the website there would be a database of summits you've visited with all accompanying data. The database could also be public so you could boast where you've all been.

Good idea. Later we could also mount cameras.

Ojojojojoj, some go to the mountains to then boast where they've all been Do you even know how many oh so beautiful mountains without stamps there are? Those accessible without climbing? Even such that when you tell someone you were up there they don't even know a mountain with that name exists? Those are the real ones! Well, each to their own and to each his own.

turbo, if you're doing, for example, the Slovenian mountain trail, you need a stamp from the hut or summit, if there isn't one....

Ah, yes, that's right. That's a different one

Now really don't know if someone is actually stealing these SPP stamps or if it's just a sick commercial trick. Every hut keeper already tells me that his stamp was stolen and that's why it's behind the counter (lastly Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem). Come on, one shovel of sand and one sack of cement, a bit of water and concrete it somewhere if you're so afraid for it! I like those concreted on summits the most, which aren't conditioned by hut keepers' complications and even the procedure before you get to that stamp.

Isn't the caretaker's signature mandatory anymore? It used to be, as far as I remember...

Zebdi, the signature isn't even officially mandatory anymore, because it's not even mentioned in the regulations. Those on Wikipedia are some old rules. Thank God someone realized the nonsense of signatures. What if huts are closed, what if there's no caretaker in the hut (but waiters), what if someone has photos instead of stamps etc etc... It's fine just as it is now.

Yes, I agree with that. I didn't even look at Wikipedia, but I had in my memory that I read that once in my booklet

Becar, yes they actually steal them. I remember a couple of years ago when a buddy was on Mangart and mentioned in the hut that there's no stamp on the summit... the caretaker started yelling "f*** their mother, just last week I concreted it on top". And somewhere in Dalmatia apparently there's a tavern where you can stamp the whole traverse (info not verified, since I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend's friend...) And while we're on stamps... on top of Slivnica a new one is urgently needed, because this one is so worn out that you can't even tell which summit it is by chance. Oh and one more thing I'd point out (don't know if it's been longer or new) "Dom na Slivnici" obviously isn't a mountain hut anymore (so no hard feelings like with Karahawk . It seemed weird to me because there's no hut sign on it and I went to check the hut list on PZS.

You made me laugh, but I don't believe neither the first story nor the second. That someone would pull out a concreted handle... hm Regarding the stamp collection in Croatia I've heard so many different stories that I don't believe any anymore (one even comes from Zagreb). That Croats would steal Slovenian stamps... I don't know, firstly they seem too proud for something like that, secondly some handles are so concreted that you'd have to tear half the mountain off, stainless steel rods aren't that easy to saw through either. Of course I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem likely to me. On Slivnica the stamp is really completely destroyed, I used one from the collection in the hut. If it's not ok, I have a photo too, so I won't worry too much.
