heinz, now it's a bit different situation and shouldn't look how it usually is.usually Rateče (currently 65 cm) also have much more snow than Jesenice, now they are about equal if I generalize a bit.this all tells that lots of snow fell in valleys and this time mountains didn't get much more snow than usual.Vogel has 180 cm, if there it's 200 then hats off.

For those interested in the drivability of the road Mrzli studenec - monument (pl. Zajavornik), note that it's completely icy, dangerous. Only chains can provide somewhat normal driving.
I advise against!
On Rudno polje today it was worse than in BTC.. Maybe some go to mountains for the crowds.

At Rudno polje there was crowd due to cross-country skiing. I was first today at Blejska Hut from pl. Zajavornik and road really icier but somehow you can drive up. Then I also did cross-country on excellently groomed tracks around pl. Zajavornik. At Rudno polje crowd on tracks, here only cca 30 skiers. Real idyll

Yesterday wanted to go to Debela peč, but hut keeper advised better Mrežce in these conditions. Believed him and went to top. About 40cm dry snow, weather gorgeous, views phenomenal like fairy tale, no regret...

Well, me too. But only from Sport Hotel to Blejska Hut, with older kids who complain they don't want to wade through wet snow. Is it really that bad when it warms up? Does anyone have info on the path?

Not at all, the path is trampled, some are even skiing down, one family had a sledge with two smaller kids. I descended today around 3 pm. Lots of people at Blejska Hut. Mrežce quite trampled, the keeper said, Debela peč a bit less, on the way back it sank quite a bit, the sun does its thing.
