Of course minuses on my comments don't bother me either, even more: I state my opinion even if someone disagrees with it, but if they are just minuses from an envious person, provoker,... then even better. And of course the point of discussion is exactly that we disagree. Where would we get if everyone agreed with everything?
But I think it's stupid that this intentional minusing from multiple acc. happens, so I support measures to eliminate it. Regardless that it must be a real mental pauper who has nothing else to do but do this, constantly log in with accounts, go through forums, press minuses, write posts just to provoke, sniff around users what someone once said and serve it to them. Sick to the end... 
Minuses on my trip reports don't bother me either. Because I have a slightly different style from others here, I believe many don't like my writings. But there are many who do, which I judge by the pluses that remain anyway and the ZS I get. Even if only ten percent like it. That's already a lot of people, who are also the reason I still do it.
And anyway, I don't write trip reports by force. I like it, I enjoy it or identify with it. If it weren't so, I would stop writing. So if I ever stop writing (now in winter I go to mountains little anyway) then know that it's my decision! Not because of minusers, provokers,... but for purely personal reasons. Maybe I just won't feel like it anymore...

But pluses and minuses in such hot debates don't bother me. One likes a certain comment, the other doesn't. What bothers me a lot, and I've noticed it for a long time, is that sometimes I can't give a thumbs up to a current conditions forum post to the forum guy or gal. Person does the tour, writes conditions, uploads nice pics, and damn it someone slaps a minus thumb on it. I read the post again and figure out what's wrong with it to deserve a minus already. Find nothing, it's written nicely and correctly. Then I click that plus thumb like crazy, nothing. Then during the day more readers read it and the number of those happy with his or her post increases and cancels those minus thumbs.
Because of such actions there'll be fewer posts. Why would someone let himself be chewed up by people he doesn't even know.
As for using real names and nicks, it's like this. Words and sentences we write offend, not our names or nicknames. If someone writes I'm a "pussy" I don't care if signed with name or nick. The word aimed at me has weight, not his personal data.

@pikica1: that's exactly what this debate is about. Here, more and more users are noticing it. And it's no coincidence that the user (or userette, since we don't know who it is anyway) who provokes and spams the section is the one we stepped on the corn with this proposal.
Once again, it doesn't bother me and I write regardless. But it's true that many have stopped because of this. Specifically, I unfortunately know of at least one person. So the administrator really should do something in this direction if he doesn't want the forum to become poorer and poorer.
