There's tons of snow; you'll have a good tour, since you'll probably need to hike the road to Logarska already (at least today it was so). Saw pics from a friend who was up today.

It should be plowed up to that hut before Log.kot,, already forgot what it's called.
Last week it was so, this weekend I don't know, since there was no precipitation at all.

Yesterday I was on Turska gora, went through the gully, new snow approx 30 cm fell on icy layer, very unstable, don't recommend 'cause pretty dangerous!! Had a bad experience!!

@ zihr korak

If it's not too personal, I'm curious what that bad experience was?

Just glad you're okay. Yeah, there's lots of snow everywhere, it'll take some time before conditions are safe. Safe steps. Lp

this week no noteworthy precipitation, so for the weekend conditions should be good.
Everyone decides for themselves. At the end of the gully there's always a huge amount of firm windpacked snow, which sometimes looks scary. Better a bit more to the right and traverse left to the top - safety wise it's a bit better.
Important that it all ended well.

also in the gully itself sometimes windblown snow that can release with additional load and sweep you away, here's how I myself got a 30cm slab in the past under that gully but then I didn't even know why to turn back, if a dozen hikers go up there"zadrega"
That real cross-section, turn to the mountain guides.... I was the only one who did it and that's what I got.... it was 2nd degree, same as now.1

Today (on Saturday) we were on Okrešelj. In the high mountains more than half a meter of new snow, avalanche danger considerable. Conditions completely winter!

As far as I know dog breeds, the dog is not a St. Bernard, although not far off: Bernese Mountain Dog!

Bojan A, the Bernese mountain dog is named Benčika and lives at Razpotje, a pension not far from Plesnik (one of the starting points for Klemenča cave). I met her on the path under Utami, when I aimed for Strelovec. She ate my snack and accompanied me to the valley in return. According to locals, there's no peak around Logarska she hasn't tagged along to.

Interesting, thanks for the explanation. Blog now updated with correct information: http://bojanambrozic.wordpress.com/2014/05/17/okreselj-rogatec-lepenatka/ smile

Nice dog, no doubt. He patiently accompanied us all the way to Rinka. A few more pics.
