From Ljubelj I started today towards Zelenica, intending to continue to Palec and Zelenjak. However, on the way to Vrtača I turned right into the slope too early. I have no idea which peak I climbed up to, but it was quite strenuous and demanding When descending from the summit, I staggered through unknown gullies and flew through the scrub... I would be very happy if someone could tell me which "peak" I was actually on! On the 3rd and 4th pictures are shots I took from that summit, or a bit below it.
When I finally returned to the path to Vrtača, a couple I met directed me to the right junction for Palec and Zelenjak. Due to lack of fitness and after strenuous wandering, I decided to climb only to Palec.
Weather clear, with periods of cloudiness, path trampled, but it got quite wet from the southern snow. I used small crampons and occasionally also ice axe. Surprisingly few hikers and skiers, as the day (at least morning) was wonderful

Probably you turned towards the ridge Možje - Palec and into the gully that is the emergency exit from that ridge. Možje were on your right, on the left is a sea of scrub and far, far away is Palec.

Too bad I didn't take a photo towards Palec and Zelenjak But it was such a sight - yeah, it was somewhere here

hey, did you miss it?  This is beyond the last Mož, right. From here to Palec another cca. 2 hours along the ridge

On Saturday I was on Palec. The path over Dry scree has no special features, on the path from Žleb to Palec there's still quite nasty and steep snowfield, which I preferred to bypass from below. Further to the top there are no more special features.
