Yesterday the plans were different, but during the drive the Trenta meadows with plenty of flowers tempted me. I easily swapped them for the pines and rocks of Martuljek.
Actually it wasn’t just meadows, there were plenty of good rocks on the ridge too. And almost too much sun. But wild thyme was just right for picking. I hope the marmots won’t hold it against us, as we picked it right around their homes. Otherwise none were in sight.
On this enjoyable ridge you really feel like you’re already in paradise. Though I have no idea what it’s like there. Probably something similar. nasmeh

A lady on the way to Špič mentioned we missed the flowers. I don’t know which ones she meant!? There were quite a few edelweiss, gentians, alpine snowbell and huge amounts of everything else. On the descent there was already too much of everything. The grass reached almost to our knees.
It was a day for the soul.

From Škrbina za Gradom towards the Bale valley and Briceljek.

You can also walk. In the background the ridge of Loške stene.

Use of this anchor is deadly dangerous. The bolt holds nothing. Now a sling is placed around the horn above it.

From the top of Pinja nice view on a cluster of peaks dominated by Jalovec. Below Špiček with shelter.

Postcard for Jovan. He would say, what can we do, we have hiked even this one.

Steep grass slopes and the finest view of the Pihavci ridge.

Past Špičica and Skutnik into the valley.

For this path (Špiček - Bavški Grintavec) however I recommend nitko.

I don’t think so.
Access to the ridge between Nizki vrh and Špičica is right in the corner below Nizki vrh. There you traverse left on grass to the ridge.

Yeah, maybe it was wrong to write about it at all. Everyone is obliged to check the anchor before using it.
But I installed a new one (loop around the horn). nasmeh

I never pick up other people's pitons in the mountains, at most I leave some somewhere.

Yes, everyone should check the anchor, but sadly they don't. Even everyone holding the rope doesn't belay, although convinced they're doing just that.

Marjan, I don't understand the sketch well. Fours and fives. I think from ground to saddle it's a good II, to the top the rock doesn't exceed III!?

Aleš, the easiest is from the Pihavec side. Guaranteed doesn't exceed II.

Finally some time for me too to post the super experience with Drago, which like all good things ended way too soon.
Since it was my first time in these parts, it was a new world for me and thus the pleasure even greater. The ridge is really beautiful and offers a bit of everything.
