Planjava today 15.6.2025.

Up via Repov kot. No snow on the ascent path anymore.

For descent, wanted to try pathless down Planjava meadows and join back the path in Repov kot somewhere near those caves. Went up for recon, logical descent route could be traced from below. But on descent from summit, heat pressed so hard that cooking on southern slopes in grass and bushwhacking through scrub didn't appeal at all. Only saw cold radler in hut at Kamniško sedlo ahead, so descended the classic way.

On marked path still three snowfields, two unproblematic, one not quite harmless. Didn't see a single soul with ice axe today. I had mine and used it at that one spot since it was on backpack anyway. Can say felt better crossing like that. Can't speak for others.

Back from saddle via scree. At end got tangled in high scrub full of pollen now. Came out of scrub like caricature, all sweaty and smeared with yellow flour from head to toe. Time saved on scree spent cleaning pollen off self, clothes, backpack… velik nasmeh

At very end, somewhere rushing down in forest, of course at most ordinary hiking spot, unfortunately twisted ankle mrk pogled. Still don't know how zavijanje z očmi Same ankle I already twisted year and half ago in dark on home hill. Now out for couple weeks, then probably need to think about some brace for the season. ...And learn to descend more carefully...

Still plenty of snow on the slopes around Skuta.10
Somewhere here I should turn off downhill into pathless terrain. Below through the scree it was visible that it's trodden. But the heat drives me off.11

This second one is more dangerous, but no long slide below. I wouldn't want to see what a slip looks like..13

I'd rather recommend Planjava meadows for ascent. It does drag on...

thanks for the tip - I'll take it into account. Gotta admit, it looks a bit wild there. Plan was a bit (over)ambitious, but luckily heat and sixth sense did their thing so I wasn't drawn down there.nasmeh

Yesterday I headed to KSA again, the road is so bad it's a shame even for the wife's car, so I hike from the bottom although the clock showed quarter past six. I didn't worry about time, the forecast was promising. At Klin I turn towards Repov kot and lo and behold, blunder, a bit above the pools due to inattention I took some path to the left, which led me to chamois territory.eek I didn't feel like turning back, through healthy scrub and solid rock holds I was quickly back on the path. Higher someone with red, a bit before the saddle with yellow spray painted dots and crosses, which I successfully followed all the way to the top of Srebrno sedlo, where I first saw the sun. I walk also to Najvišji rob and treat myself to a short rest. Views perfect, no wind, to the western summit of Planjava, where I camped for almost a full hour, it took me another good half hour. At the main summit visitors were alternating, most from the direction of Kamniško sedlo, where I descend too. I don't enter the hut, since I recognized the waitress already on Saturday. I didn't choose descent over the scree, as I plan a three times longer one for the end of the weekend...nasmeh

Hello,

does anyone know if there's a spring with water near Korosica? I'm heading on a tour Kamniška Bistrica-Kamniško sedlo-Planjava-Korosica-Prešedljaj-Kamniška Bistrica and want to save some backpack weight. Thanks for info.

Mountaineering path from Planina Podvežak towards Korošica past Inkret and to Planjava via Srebrno sedlo 31.08.2025 without issues, Kocbek Hut at Korošica closed from 1.09.2025, road to parking below Planina Podvežak in good condition.

Most demanding or uncomfortable, especially when wet, is section from last, third wire viewed from below, upwards to Srebrno sedlo, where for ca 50m path turns straight up on quite broken and crumbly terrain, avoiding old route where erosion has eaten path bits well, so not safest to veer too right (facing ascent) above that little basin.

After shift to Planjava via Planjava meadows... well, at least that's (admit, optimistic) plan. Day really noticeably shorter... last blow "complication" with shift.
So in the end no summit, via meadows to marked path and descent via saddle. Still nice afternoon tour, in solitude, but with fully saturated nature around, from mountain life to intense afternoon/evening colors.

Hello, Was anyone on Planjava this weekend? On Saturday planning via Repov kot to Planjava and down to Kamniško sedlo. Interested in conditions? Thanks for any info
