I'm not sure if it's completely snow-free. In one gully there might still be quite a bit of snow.

There's still snow when crossing from Kamniško sedlo.

Today there were still about four larger snow patches on this path that you have to cross. The biggest is right below the summit. All can be crossed without crampons and ice axe but imo it doesn't hurt if you have some of it with you. At one or two you can zigzag a bit too but I think no need. Otherwise the protections are well preserved and seems to me all of them are on dry ground.

26.7. Planjava from Podvežak - Korošica - Srebrno sedlo direction no snow on the path itself, individual snowfields in depressions, path attractive, especially for those who don't like crowds (two hikers on this path). In short full of flowers and views on individual peaks - speechless, just for the soul.

For lucky - approx times for average hiker: - Podvežak-Mala Ojstrica-Ojstrica: 4 h - Ojstrica-Planjava 2.5 h - Planjava - Korošica: 2h - Korošica - Podvežak: 2 h I'd recommend checking the planned route beforehand from posts on this site or a guidebook (e.g. Kamniško Savinjske Alpe). Safe trip!

Thanks for the information. I did the tour on 29.7.2009 Podvežak-Mala Ojstrica-Ojstrica-Kocbekov dom-Podvežak in 7 hours. I'll visit Planjava another time. Regards

Hi, I'm interested in two routes to Planjava and especially if there is still any snow on these paths? One is the path Logarska-Okrešelj-Kamniško sedlo-Planjava. The other is the path Kamniška Bistrica-Repov kot-Srebrno sedlo-Planjava. THANKS

And also, is the second mentioned path marked?

The second described path is not marked and I advise against it if you're not used to walking on unmarked paths. The path is dry though but it was washed away by avalanche in Repov kot at two places (besides the ascent from Repov kot to Srebrno sedlo requires some hand use and is not equipped with cables, pegs and staples). The path from Okrešlja is also dry. Happy trails.

On Friday, 7.8. Srebrno sedlo was still dry, if it helps you anymore. But I recommend the path from Okrešlja more, because from Repov kot it's quite demanding and not equipped with safety gear, as robin already said. LP

Hey, nice pics! A bit earlier I just returned from a walk on the Mengeš field - sky over the Kamniški (almost) cloudless, you really caught phenomenal weather.

Good photos! But the hill seems to me as if I were looking towards Gori Oljki! Lp
