Weather forecast for the weekend is bad and my friend and I took this sunny day for a hike in the hills.
At 7:05 still in the dark from Podvežak (parking empty) we headed towards the hunting hut. We climbed towards the top of Lastovec (1841m). When we get out of the forest the sun appears and shows the consequences of the fire that marked this plateau years ago. Path through dry scrub continues towards Deska (1970m). When from Deska we look towards Veliki vrh, we decide - WE'RE GOING HIGHER! (9:00)
Via pathless terrain (not too demanding) we descend and reach the marked path (Podvežak-Korošica).
When we reach the junction (Molička peč - Podvežak) we turn left (Molička). Soon we reach a fork - right (Planina Ravne/i - Dolge trate) we continue on this path. Soon via pathless directly towards Veliki vrh. We search for gullies and easier chimneys and progress quickly in the wall. We slide through a natural >air hole< and scramble/crawl over white walls and scree towards the summit. Reach the summit at 10:30 and two hikers on top are astonished - which path did we take up?
Descend on the path - view towards Ojstrica (cairns) easy (so many cairns impossible to miss). Again reach path Molička peč - Trate and a bit lower to path (Molička peč - Podvežak)
Again on path towards Korošica and search for path to Vodotočnik. Spot the lake at 12:30) Lie in the warm sun and realize water supply is at the end. Don't dare drink from the lake.
After rest head under the cliffs of Deska and Lastovec. Chamois greet us with whistling. Descend on path in scree (tough) and soon under the wall. Path right by the wall (helmet) Otherwise wonderful path!!
At 13:30 again reach fire traces - sun burning and we're very thirsty.
Soon path joins (hunting hut - Lastovec) - loop done.
14:10 arrive at Podvežak and grab green from trunk (only 1 - cold can this time). Take a few sips and put can on ground (pack in trunk). Colleague jumps on almost full can, crushes it and puts in trash bag. It squirts and foams - give him a look...
Stop by road from Luč (water flowing in trough) and drink, drink..
The entire path we walked is unmarked and unprotected (except bit of Podvežak-Korošica path)

To Planina Ravne in enviably good condition (no potholes or erosion, even with a Porsche hihi)

fpetel1 is a bit joking! The road is very solid both to Podvežak and Ravne. Only from where they split, it gets a bit worse in the upper part. On Saturday with a full low car, we felt some stone rolling under the bottom to Planina Ravne. On Tuesday two of us and high car - we drove without problems.
Once again, the tour was really nice!!

Thanks! I plan to use the path under the wall of Lastovec on the way down. But where is that passage to Veliki vrh summit (narrow ledge)? I went from Škrbina left along the right side of the hill, so I reached the top a few meters from the top of Velika Zelenica.

In BMP I drew the route that we took to Vv. The dashed line is the gully that we climbed and it's not visible until you get into it. Climbing difficulty is in my opinion I. and some II. Basically you can find passages yourself - but still watch out not to get stuck somewhere.
Good trip (on Monday I'll be around there too wandering) - if the road is normally drivable with summer tires.

On Sunday 19.10.08 we went with our daughter from the end of the road above planina Ravne, past the monument, towards Veliki vrh. The path branches off at a cairn in the scree. Above the big chasm by the path we traversed left over rocks and reached a wide gully (east slope), it is full of cairns to the hill top, it seems we missed the entry below. From the top we tried the west side between V. vrh and Zelenica, but it didn't go. Finally some faint paths in scree west under the summit, but no cairn. Still we continued and after pathless terrain we reached the path to Molička planina right at the deep chasm by that path (50m lower is a cross).
Then we headed 100m to the junction where it says V.vrh-Ravne. Along it a bit higher, where there are several branches to V.vrh on the south side. So by foolishness we discovered two very nice approaches. Next time on the right path to see the difference. Both paths are more suitable for ascent than descent. I warmly recommend, in dry weather no problem, just some sense for orientation.

Did you maybe go up at that rock - otherwise no sign for the branch to V.v. (cairn here we placed last time). Here we came down then - the path is not so bad downhill either!

I noticed that rock with blue mark when returning to planina Ravne. Our ascent started from that rock another fifteen minutes towards the planina, a few meters before the branch to Dolge trate. Path goes left first through scree, then disappears at big chasm (here two chasms marked with red marks). From here go a bit further then above chasms traverse left into wide gully that goes almost to top. Probably there's a better variant here. I think the right path goes somewhere towards Zelenica. Under the cairn in middle of wall I put your description. Don't know where you found passage in direction Ojstrica? Anyway nice mountain with numerous approaches.

When we were at the top we descended to the valley where the path runs (Podvežak - Molička Peč or vice versa). Soon after descending from the upper ridge we came across cairns (densely placed) and in a short time reached the path (rocks) and then the signpost (photo). But on the rock there's no mark to turn right for V.v.
If you're attentive you notice the path leads towards V.v. Path not demanding. Probably there are several approaches - just need to explore a bit and maybe climb a little, and you reach the top!!

We too (girlfriend, colleagues and me) took advantage of the nice Sunday and did the route from parking below Planina Podvežak past Lastovec, Deska, Vodotočnik and return on the exposed path under the wall. Tour was fantastic, almost no wind, weather warm, sunny and cloudless. Above the second parking we turned right north and soon joined path marked with red crosses. Wondering if this is the path connecting the planina to the plateau edge and path to Deska summit? Thanks for answer. Franci

No. We went straight on the first track after parking (unmarked) right uphill north. After 30m I realized the path rises too much and doesn't go to hunting hut, but didn't want to go back, expecting the track leads to Planina Podvežak. Track or rather path brought us to transverse path some 50m above Planina Podvežak, marked with red crosses (unofficially marked!?) and marked to plateau edge where on rock written Lastovica. On descent we went to bivouac and through those gates where path under Lastovec wall ends. Then my assumption correct and crosses start already at planina?

This path is tough - spring-like (recommend - good glasses, sunscreen and helmet for under the wall) try it!!

...so as not to open a new topic, since it's not from Podvežak mežikanje

but I went, again "to" Lučka Bela...last time in class a path dropped and yeah, had to check...
to Vratice, man it's steep, steep, no resting, then some suspicious breeze and "clouding", so I went straight to Vodotočnik darling, which is really interesting, look at map a bit, at sky and decide to bite into the slope, first tackle Tolsti vrh, then Deska and then first planned, Lastovec, which looks really gray and somehow "mars-like" due to fire. Here I meet female chamois with kid, they two also seemed a bit lost and confused when we met, hehe...so hurry to our sides. Here my radars for unmarked paths were at peak, haven't used them for a while, but...worked great nasmeh

Path continues traverse under Lastovec, then bit annoying passage, scree, exposed, above you wall, where I just thought what will fall on my head?!, but of course all good and already enjoying views and vistas, and wind playing with clouds...
Tour varied, interesting, especially under Lastovec where caution is not superfluous mežikanje

and solitary...

from the left comes the path from Podvežak
