Hi, I'm interested in what the path from Trenta to Prehodavci is like? I'm interested in the condition of the path (that the mule track isn't damaged or buried somewhere which would slow down walking) and if there are any narrower exposed parts. How is this path comparable to the one from Zadnjica to Kriški podi? I know the path to Kriški podi and it's very beautiful, which allows me to get up there quite noticeably faster than marked. Because I'm planning to go from Trenta via Prehodavci to Kanjavec, I'd like to calculate a bit if I can expect something similar on the path to Prehodavci in case the path is in nice condition like the one to Kriški podi. Thanks for the help

Hello, on Saturday I went from Zadnjiški Ozebnik to Trenta, so I walked from the Čez Dol saddle down to the valley on this part. The path is without special features and passable everywhere and not exposed anywhere. As for further to Prehodavci, let someone else share the information. But I can share this photo, where most of the path from the saddle to the hut is visible. Regards

Great, thanks for the information and the picture. Still for the second part of the path along the mule track to the hut (this one worries me the most ) someone says how it is there and I'm set to go when the weather is nice

The path from Trenta to the Čez Dol saddle is very dear to me, because it's mostly softly padded and pleasantly shady. From the saddle onwards, it seems to me the most beautiful mule track in our country, which is not demanding or exposed in any part.

Hi, maybe this is a stupid question, but does anyone know how the bivouac works? Do you need to reserve anything or just show up? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, generally for bivouacs in Slovenia there are no reservations and it works on the principle of first come, first served. But you have to be careful with this bivouac at Prehodavci, because the above applies only off-season, when the hut is closed. When the hut is open, I think they consider the bivouac as additional bed capacity besides the hut and then you have to reserve a bed in the bivouac as well. In the online reservation system, you can choose between a bed in the hut itself and a bed in the bivouac.

Yeah, it's dumb. Bivouac was a bivouac, is a bivouac and will be a bivouac. Whoever doesn't know that is better off contacting the hut. Unfortunately...

Reservation takes place on bivaki.cz No, of course absolutely no reservations for bivouacs. Prehodavci specifically, as mavi already wrote, is a bivouac that is part of the hut's beds when the hut is operating. It usually opens at the end of June. Before that, and after it closes, it's just a bivouac. You come up, choose a bed and clean up after yourself in the morning. Bivouacs are also not intended for "lazing around" i.e. sleeping multiple consecutive nights in the same bivouac, without some serious tours or alpinistic feats in between.

Bivouacs do not belong in forum topics for such discussions.

Thanks a lot for all the information . I know that bivouac spots are usually allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, but I was a bit confused because it was possible to reserve them in the summer months.
