Yesterday's start of the circular tour from the hut at Savica, first to the hut on Komna, then to the hut below Bogatin, then to the hut at Triglav Lakes, along the entire valley of the seven lakes to the Zasavska hut at Prehodavci. Today over Hribarice to the hut at Dolič and descent to Trenta.
The path is not demanding, but time-wise a bit longer.
Again lots of new, especially very beautiful nasmeh
If only it weren't necessary to return to the valley mrk pogled

Some snapshots from yesterday's trip to Prehodavci. I started the path in Zadnjica, from where I climbed to Zasavska hut, from there continued to Hut at Triglav Lakes. Descended via Velika vrata then past Planina Za skalo to Soča. Path passable without issues.
Best, Tadej

One info about the bivouac at Prehodavci, if anyone plans to go up there these days and sleep over.
Our guys will according to latest info start dismantling the old bivouac tomorrow and put up a new one in the same place, somewhat more spacious - before 16, now 24 bunks. Gaberiti probably stay the same.
So for the coming time I recommend not planning to sleep in the bivouac.

If they're working up there, they'll probably sleep in the hut, so in a pinch probably could sleep in the hut or not.

Yeah, nobody will turn anyone away, I'd say. At least I wouldn't. And the bivouac I think they'll set up pretty quickly. Anyway they've already assembled it in the valley, just need to transport it up and mount it on site. This would be interesting to film or at least photo. I have to ask my colleague when they plan to haul the main part up and report if anyone's interested.

Here's some new info. So when they dismantle the old bivouac, they expect to assemble the new one in about 4 to 5 days. So within 14 days or so, the bivouac should be open again.

Maybe someone knows the conditions on the "za kopico" trail? Especially possible dangerous snow fields.

thanks and regards

@Meto:
Given the current conditions in the mountains, there's probably still snow even in the "valley", and the scree under Vršaki is almost certainly still under snow, where a slip can quickly end much lower...

There's still a lot of snow in this area. On Saturday I walked the trail from Zadnjica to Prehodavci and continued to Veliki Špičje, with a descent towards the Sedmera hut and down the Sedmer valley back towards Prehodavci and descent to the valley. An ice axe was mandatory. In the Sedmer valley there's still a lot of snow - the trail was mostly under snow, but the snow is melting intensively. The snow doesn't sink too deep but it's quite tiring to walk on. And Gore-Tex boots don't help, as I almost poured water out of my boots, so expect completely soaked boots.

We observed snow fields from Tičarice towards the valley za kopico, quite a few were visible and it will be like that for a while... winter gear mandatory, although at these temperatures it's really nice to hike, just a lot of mud...mežikanje

Hello, does anyone know what the current conditions on Veliki Špičje are? Is winter gear needed?
Thanks.

On Friday 12.07.2013 I went on a full-day pilgrimage to Prehodavci to the Zasavska koča. I started in Srednja vas on foot towards Studor and Stara Fužina, then went to see the Mostnica gorges - they are in no way inferior to the Soča gorges. Then I hiked to Planina Voje and also saw the Mostnica waterfall. Then I hiked to Planina Vogar, from there to Planina Pri jezeru, past Dedno polje, past Ovčarija, to Štapce at Dvojno jezero, through the entire Triglav Lakes valley to spend the night at the Zasavska koča at Prehodavci. I spent two nights there. The first night there were fewer of us. On Saturday the hut was full. Some were even accommodated in the bivouac, which was beautifully renovated this year below the hut. Only three people take care of the hut and all praise to them for taking such careful and friendly care of the guests. Bravo to the Prehodavci team!
Here I am already before Stara Fužina.1

The photo cannot convey the stream deeply carved into the rocks below, flowing through numerous potholes, small waterfalls, pools - magnificent.6
It was too dark for the camera to capture this beauty in the depths.7
I cross these gorges and go to planina Voje to see the slap Mostnice too - this is the koča before the waterfall.8
This is that magnificent slap Mostnice.9
I continue towards planina Blato. Every path section has its own name. Last year I hadn't seen these signs yet.10

If you drive by car you might not notice these names at all.12
