Yesterday at Prehodavci. Up from Zadnjica, return to Trenta.

In one word paradise.

during the descent with countless switchbacks through the forest I completely lost my sense of time60
the monotony is livened up by crossing the footbridge61
after the footbridge (in the opposite direction from before) the marked path also turns right, but the arrow points left across the footbridge. Where the right path leads is not marked.62
We can choose between more or less knee-friendly paths.63
The stones on the giant anthill were certainly not brought by ants.64
The path through the forest is nearing the end (although it seemed to drag on forever).65
Nevertheless at the junction, another 20 minutes of macadam follow (I'm already missing the comfortable forest shade).66
Almost at the goal in Trenta, on the road before the hamlet Na Logu.67

SuzanaM, it's been several years since I wandered the same paths as you. Your beautiful photos have gripped me again with the desire to visit Prehodavci and its neighbors. As I looked at the pictures, I breathed with you, not to mention the feelings that overwhelmed you at the sight of the summits and the beautiful colors of the flowers. I wish you many more such paths and safe steps. Good luck!

SuzanaM, nice trip!

May I kindly "correct" two captions? Under the 15th photo it's not "view of the Trebiščina pasture" but view of the Trebiški valley and TNP hunting hut. The remains of the Trebiščina pasture are much lower, located somewhat above the marked trail (unmarked branch through the woods). Under the 67th photo it says "on the road before the village of Trenta", more accurately "on the road before the hamlet Na Logu".

All the best!

I'd ask for info if it's possible to reach Prehodavci directly from Planika? Unfortunately I haven't found this info anywhere, so I hope for your help nasmeh I know the path from Planika goes via Dolič and Hribarice, but I'm interested if Dolič can be avoided and how long that path would take?

Thank you very much in advance nasmeh

You also have the variant around Mišelj vrh, but that's a bit complicated, you need to descend to Vodnikov dom, then climb up Mišeljska dolina and exit again at Hribarice, true at the part where the path to Kanjavec branches off, then descend to Prehodavci. That's a bit of a roundabout salad, as we say, this via Dolič is the fastest, simplest and not much climbing (only Dolič - Hribarice part), so I don't recommend the Mišeljska dolina variant at all, especially since it's a bit demanding orientation-wise, not marked ...

Map would be excellent source for info you need.. Otherwise no... Dolič is "almost straight line" between Planika and Prehodavci, so you'll have to take that path.. Not bad at all jezik

Thanks nasmeh Then the path over Dolič will be great, just so I don't have to go back to the valley and up again mežikanje Have a nice day further!

Thanks to all for the praises. It was a really beautiful day.

Merkur, thanks for the correction. I entered it also under the photo descriptions. Regarding the name Trenta, I followed the road signs and the bus schedule.

Does anyone know where the right path at the bridge leads (pic 62)?

Yesterday from Planina Blato over Štapce to the lakes and on to Zasavska koča, where we planned a loop over Vratca. Due to snow there and recommendation from some guys who had just come from there, we decided to close the route to Blato back to Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, over Prode and back to Planina Blato. Larches wonderful, few people, no problem hiking uphill in short sleeves. One of the nicest hikes, must-visit in autumn! velik nasmeh

Has anyone hiked from Planina Blato, Koča na Planini pri Jezeru - Dedno Polje - Mala Tičarica - Vel. Zelnarica - over Vrata to Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih, is it passable without winter gear yet or still snow?

14 days ago, on the described path, halfway to Vrata there was still snow, turned back below Hribarice as one part of the path was too dangerous for slipping. Probably conditions haven't changed much in the meantime.

The path is not dry. From Vratc to Zasavska hut on Prehodavci, ice axe and crampons. Lp.

Where exactly is the snow? At Hribarice? Then over the top is it dry? Tičarica?

velkavrh19. 07. 2014 07:14:43
dpcul, check out my trip from last Saturday that I posted midweek under Velika Tičarica, Velika Zelnarica. From Štapc over all peaks to the foot of Velika Zelnarica completely dry. Only on path to saddle two steep snowfields that need to bypass or put on crampons. To saddle then ok. From saddle on extensive snowfields to junction for Hribarice and also down to Prehodavci. Crampons and ice axe mandatory because snowfields steep icy - if you're not skilled walking such terrain advise against. From saddle also left path - unmarked - going lower but soon after saddle disappears - no trace where - probably avalanches destroyed it.
