They opened the road, but no info on Bornova pot anywhere so I went to check. No official closures noticeable anywhere, but some rocks crumbled in the last part of the tunnel, don't know if it's related to the landslide.

Tadej, good we have you as scout. I was wondering how the path is now. And I don't like the partially buried path on pic. 8 at all. There's steep slope and narrow path on the crumbliest part. Anyway, you got through safely. lp nasmeh

Tadej's post under the Ljubelj Pass (hut) forum on page 20 was that the Born path is CLOSED (28.42019).
When I asked you where the information came from, you said orally from the police and civil protection. Here you write that you haven't tracked the data anywhere. I don't understand you.
We already went on 2.5.2019 along the Born path, we inquired at civil protection, there was no closure.

Maybe I wrote incomprehensibly. I wanted to say that the Born path is open and except on two short sections (picture 8 and 11) normally passable.

On picture 8 recently when snowing, snow avalanche buried part of path with rocks.
No snow anymore, rocks remained.
Stronger wind felled tree recently too.
Rocks in tunnel since last year.
Rockfall that closed road to Ljubelj did no damage to Born path-so far.

Born path normally passable last weekend several families with small kids said path ok except fallen beech which can be normally avoided

to each his own nasmeh we all have our own (even culinary) taste ... I personally don't stop there anymore on the way to Begunjščica, if I go that way (via Kalvarija) ... the cleanliness of the hut (toilet, kitchen) calls more for closure than a visit ... but as I say - at least it has its view ...
