31.10. via Kopiščar route to Prisojnik. The trail is almost entirely dry, some snow patches were not problematic. A bit more caution needed through the window due to locally iced snow and falling rocks. At the summit, the already very good weather improved further, so we could meditate a bit longer over super views, yet met only three people on the whole mountain during the day.
Descended via Slovenian route. Initial part fully dry, in that middle gully rock sections and trodden snow alternated (frozen in shade, softened in sun but slippery). On some shady unprotected parts tricky without winter gear. Poles or rougher boot soles would help. From gully onwards smooth, plenty of sun, also plenty of ibex lounging on holiday.
I liked the whole route except that slippery descent part, varied and picturesque.

On Sunday via Slovenian path to Prisojnik. No winter gear needed on this part, started at 10am from Ruska kapelica. No snow further to summit.

Hello,

On Saturday (2.6.2018) I am planning to go to Prisojnik via circular Kopiščarjeva pot through window - Prisojnik - South/SLO path back.

Anyone have info on trail conditions?
Snow, passability, etc.?

Yesterday to Prisank via Kopiščarjeva. Some sections are still well covered, so winter gear is mandatory. A larger snowfield is also on the Slovenska path.

Today a nice tour to Prisojnik. Up and down the ridge path past the first Prisojnik window. The ridge path is completely dry. On the Slovenska path there is still snow in the gully (winter gear needed). It was pretty cold and wonderful views. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Yesterday we headed to Prisank via Ridge path. For descent we planned Slovenska path but due to snowfield not possible (no winter gear with us) so returned via Ridge path, which in our opinion (also other hikers descending with us), could be secured with cable on two "smooth" ridges jezik. Otherwise nice, good tour... weather foggy-sunny nasmeh... despite effort satisfaction back at Vršič great velik nasmeh.

@qlimac: I went 2 weeks ago on Kopiščarjeva and the snow patch was already passable. I used an ice axe to "carve" a couple of steps; now I think even that is not needed anymore.

Has anyone gone up Kopiščarjeva recently? What's the status regarding the above-mentioned snowfield?
