nice shots of avalanche field "Lanež" above Klemenča cave, and spruce under Puklovec, and Puklovec ridge. The gully you marked correctly. Wherever on Solčava you take pics please post here, because a picture is an image that comes alive when memories return. Maybe we'll meet sometime.

Exactly "ziki", you got it all.
One more thing interests me. Compared photos from a few years ago when I shot the rock break. Interested in that rock jump (larches above it) currently nicely snowed over and just hinting.
Are those step loops in that jump or can it be bypassed, or where can I expect them...?
regards and thanks for reply

If you want to find those step loops, you'll have to wait for the snow to melt. Where they are located, as seen from the picture, there's currently a couple of meters thick snow. On this picture is the passage from the big snowfield right upwards under the summit of Meglice upwards to the larches. One option is also one gully further right - I think the ascent will be easier in the snow, but conditions must be right. And safe steps.

Today after Easter lunch, my wife and I were watching snow avalanches that due to the newly fallen snow were breaking off the slopes of Planjava and Lučke Babe and thundering to the Logarska side, into Logarski Kot. For an hour and a half it was thundering non-stop. Then another hour with ten-minute intervals. It also dumped quite a bit into Grlo. I think it was the same in Matkov Kot, since it was snowing on Mrzla Gora too. And best regards to everyone on the Forum.

On Friday, when my colleague and I were ascending towards the hunting hut in Zabrložnica, we noticed a big slab. It's visible on this photo too and runs transversely under the right edge of Škarije towards the left edges of Lučka Baba. Like a hollowed-out path...
The ridge also had quite a few crown slabs hanging over.
Things will change further with new snow and thaws to come....

They photographed the remains of the avalanche that was released on 2.4.2014, as a result of the fall of a huge slab above Baba.

The rock seen on pictures 1 and 2 under Škarjami, above which Poč is visible to which the snow flew towards Grlo in Logarski Kot, is nine meters high. That means, if it's not visible from the snow, there are nine or more meters of it. I remember that the rock from early December to mid-April wasn't visible from the snow. But the avalanche in spring came almost to the hut in Logarski Kot. Only twenty-five meters away from the hut it stopped. Under Grlo the avalanche depth was seventeen meters. Best regards Janez Slapnik.

"Rozka" and I talked about this route a few weeks ago. Primarily we planned to repeat the descent into Logar Valley. When we last descended from Klemenčeva Cave to L. Valley, the three traverses in the forest were the hardest for us. They are without protection (if I ignore the almost destroyed prusik on one) and run right above the cliff wall. The solution to avoid them we had planned last time. Now we had to find a suitable "detour". We succeeded, just some effort and searching was neededcool.
We started in Logar Valley and via the abandoned path through Grlo we climb to the ridge of Rjavči vrh. A bit of scrambling on the ridge and we descend to the marked path leading from Klemenče to Škarije. Down it and then we descend the scree gully. We bypass the rock jumps and into the forest. Here we find the "detour", free ourselves from nasty traverses and in a flash we are in the forest above Logar Valley. "Rozka" with sharp eyesight successfully finds even the most hidden faded marking and straight by "rules" we arrive for beer at the hut.
She left a cairn for Dolf on the way and he probably gets beer if he happens to pass by...zavijanje z očmi

Nearby Planjava, Ojstrica and ultimately Krofička somehow hide the beautiful peak - Rjački vrh or also called Planinšca. It's 1898m high, which is not negligible. Because it's slightly off the path to Ojstrica it has little visitors - but only a little. Basically two paths lead up. I went with PD Medvode. They decided to go via the little known path through Grlo. Start at the mountain hut in Logarska Valley. We go over the debris right behind the hut where actually no path. When we leave this gravel a barely visible trail shows up on the right, visible to the top of the mountain. This path was once marked and red marks are still visible today. Officially now abandoned and considered pathless. Locally overgrown with brush. Path leads over slippery grass and there the trail is barely visible. To the top about three hours. Halfway a big jump but still equipped with old pegs and we climb it without danger. Path all the way quite steep - we do 1000m ascent to the top. Almost three quarters of the way no view - just fog. Then sun came out and we saw peaks from Krofička to Rinka. From the saddle where the path actually goes to Ojstrica, the trail to the left brings us to Rjački vrh in less than twenty minutes. View magnificent. Here of course no stamp or anything. Down we went past the hut at Klemenča jama under Ojstrica and then on the right path to tourist farm Plesnik. Path goes quite steep down past waterfalls and even through a tunnel. In between secured with cables.

I'll stay here.

Actually I planned to go through Grlo to Škarije and then along the ridge to Vile and maybe Planjava too, but conditions were so bad that at the saddle under Rjavči I fled towards Klemenča.

Somewhere in the last third of Grlo a new snow base starts, about 50cm+ with a few cm thick crust. Progress was actually so bad that from Kota to the saddle it took about five hours, of which for the part with new base around 3 hours. The crust constantly collapses and if you don't trample the spot for a step, it breaks over your knee. At the same time around 8:30 avalanches started from the north face of Planjava, about 10 of them heard. At the saddle I then buried the original plan. Towards Klemenča it went fast, but the amount of snow is approximately the same as in Grlo with the difference that there is no crust. Someone also made a track towards Kopinškova.

One more thing. I don't want to ape ARSO, since I'm not an avalanche expert, but is the lowering of danger for the following days to 1st level actual or is it a system error?
