I believe. But we were all four there for the first time on this side so we went rather safer by the description. To Prgarca we only needed two hours. And we're not fast.

When going from Temena to Rjavina, a distinct red gully branches right (sometimes cairn), annoying because it's crumbly, not too hard though. Descend a bit along it, then traverse almost horizontally (contour line) to Luknja peč saddle and a bit further under Luknja peč itself. Nothing too hard up to here. Then the summit part of Luknja peč (sometimes cairn), where you touch II in places. Short and sweet. Descent same path above Teme, from there either down past the plane or up to Rjavina and from there anywhere down.

Hello. Interested in the route to Rjavina via Teme? Orientationally very demanding? If I follow Bojan_A's description, is that ok? How long from Rjavina summit to Kredarica hut? Thanks and best regards

For me one of the nicest approaches off-trail, in good weather nicely followable, fog can make it a bit harder. Stick to Bojan's description and all will be OK... From Rjavina summit to Kredarica 2-3h, it drags on

I followed the description from this forum, where under Rjavina topic various approaches to the summit are described, including via Teme, and had no problems, could follow the "path" easily, traverses logical too, cairns help. Fog appeared then, misled us a bit, luckily when we were back on marked path to Stanič, we nailed it first try. Oh, went with my doggy, who had no issues on that traverse under the wall, actually did better than me Good luck.

Hi, on Sunday planning from Krma to Veliki Pršivec and Teme. Anyone been there recently and can tell me terrain conditions or if any snow patches left? Thanks and LP

After many years since the last visit, Rjavina via Teme came up again. In today's internet age I expected almost a highway, but not even close. Everything is more or less the same as a decade ago, just the traverses under Pršivec towards the bomber are even more overgrown. Here you need a good sense for the right direction, or some technical knowledge for using the GPS track. From the remains of the metal bird onward the direction is clearly visible, with cairns helping generously over Teme. Higher up there are fewer, because the ascent over the Rjavina slope is a solo project for each individual. The direction is more or less straight up . From Rjavina we descended towards Pekel and it also got hot approximately like that . The ferrata has only one steeper snow patch left, which is no problem to cross. You need to watch out for the undercut edge crevices that quickly deliver you a floor lower. After the battered descent into the valley we continued on the Rekarjeva path over Vrbanove špice. There is no trace of snow at all, and the fixed protections are impeccable. We had a longer stop at the Stanič hut, which goldsmiths have rented this year. Accordingly, the prices have skyrocketed. From the hut we returned under Dovška vratca and past Apnenica joined the morning hunter's trail. Soon we also joined the Triglav main trail and sweated in the scorching heat towards Krma and the morning starting point …

Running water is along the marked path a few meters above the spot where you turn off the marked path into Travno valley. Today I did a similar tour, start on marked, then through Travno valley, with some zigzagging that was followed by a quite sensible exit to the marked path and then through Kravja valley towards Temen. The sight of the bomber in the middle of that desert makes an unusual, strong impression. At the passage to Teme water drips from a hole above, if there was a crisis maybe one could climb for a drop? Or not. From Temen up to Rjavina it was steep but surprisingly comfortable, better than below Temen. Descent I did along the ridge to Dovskih vratc, crossed those few meters to the marked and suddenly midday heat hit me, which obviously built up while I was climbing below and above Temen and on the ridge, where a breeze was blowing all the time and eased the sun's effect a bit, which otherwise burned like mad. I find a boulder with enough shadow and crash, then a bit lower I lounge in the shadows once more and finally at 6 pm seriously set off down the valley via Prgarca. In such late afternoon hours (weather stable today) this part is shady and the experience was completely different than before when the sun was still shining in. By the way, there's water at Prgarca too - after such a long day it came in handy. This was a nice, long, solitary tour (people only in the lower end, I think all heading to/from Kredarica). Storm damage in Krma is extensive and looks horrible, in places it looks like Saruman felled Fangorn. To me it doesn't seem obvious that they could open the road so quickly.

Rjavina via Teme, 15.11.2024 This one was quite a bit longer than I thought! Morning in Krma half a dozen cars. Solid frost (-6), but that divine peace in the morning... Real balm for the soul. Krma is snowy, about 2 cm powder, just enough for great atmosphere. A bit later a helicopter disturbed the peace, flying back and forth to Kredarica several times. Uphill I went on the marked path towards Dovških vratc. I don't know the path over Teme and yeah, I missed it. I looked at maps and blindly believed the "right" approach to Teme was the drawn PP path. Well, there was no path up from there and I wandered and crossed on my own. When I reached the ridge from which the view opens to the screes and Teme, I saw a lower meadow in the distance with path traces. Immediately clear I was way too high. Since I didn't want to reinvent the wheel, and I really wanted to see the plane wreckage, I crossed back down through the rocky terrain until I joined the right path at one point. Just near a cairn I came "out". I made quite a detour and extra elevation... Also on that short ascent to Teme I didn't hit the ideal passage. Well, when you look back from above, everything's clear. Anyway today I wasn't quite myself and lacked energy. Everything went slower. Probably aftermath of last week's virus. That ascent from Teme to Rjavina summit almost finished me! But great views, Piran bay almost like on a plate. Up on Rjavina ridge there was still some wind-blown powder here and there, but it wasn't a big safety factor. Nowhere hard or frozen. It was quite enjoyable. Back to Velega Polja via hunting path. Descent to Krma drags like a slow snake. Back to car well after sunset. Meal tally: one croissant, two sandwiches, two Frutabelas and even a raw bread roll. One Snickers surprisingly survived. Due to circumstances, my toughest tour this year.

Thanks. Gotta repeat sometime, with a stop at Pršivec. Will be much easier now that I know the path.
