On Sunday I checked out this part of the path. Where the red line is. Apparently there used to be a path there. You go up above three caverns. And thus avoid the Naku gully. It looked dry. But on the other side, which I then looked at from the junction to Kluže, there was still snow. I'm interested if anyone has hiked there and what it looks like?
I didn't decide because I didn't know how it was behind.1

A few years ago I hiked there, along that ridge. It was late autumn. As far as I remember, nothing special. Some steep, terraced grass.
In summer we have to be careful, I noticed two adders last time along the marked path higher towards the top.

I was on 10.5., there was still some snow, but everywhere completely south-facing, no need for winter gear, nor did I have it with me.

Definitely dry ground. But there's still a snow patch in the gully on the path past Čukla and on the S side, on the path to Prišna glava (as of 21.5.22).

Rombon 16.6.2022
Parked quite late in the morning at Planina Krnica (7:28). Lucky that Rozka warned us in her post (Grebensko prečenje Loške stene) that Predel is partially closed.
In the sunny morning we cross the wet grasses of the unmarked path to Planina Goričica. We have a nice view into the valley and on the Bovec airport. We don't stay long at Goričica (sun burns too much), but turn left upwards past WWI remains. After approx. 4 hours of walking we are at the Rombon summit. Short break, snack and then "Žičnica" descent. The start is a bit demanding, then searching for marks and cairns (we placed some with Milan years ago). At Ribežli a heavy shower with thunder starts, which makes some participants hide in shelter. The storm doesn't last long and soon the sun shows its afternoon power. Rain gear in packs and onwards. When we spot the Kanin station, we turn left steeply down to Planina Krnica. That hour of descent was real torment. Grass wet from previous storm, rocks among grass and considerable fatigue, plus strong stuffiness.
Circular path approx. 15 km - 9 hours
No snow on the path anymore
Perhaps more demanding orientationally, not technically

10.08.2022. Everything I say was true. We intended to explore the mulatiera from Zavrzelno, which turns right before Planina Goričica. It's well visible. But it ends at the last cavern. There we should have gone lower. But for some reason we decided to go straight up the steep slope and tall grass. We find that part called death's head between Čuklo and Krljišče. We saw Čuklo from afar. After hours of steep walking we spot a path from Kluž. After viewing remains at Krljišče we go on the path to Rombon. It was hot. Wind blew occasionally. At the saddle we meet some hikers descending. On top there were only two foreigners. Great views. Just too many sheep droppings on the top. We found a spot a bit lower to rest peacefully. We descended to Naklo gully and along the marked path to Zavrzelno. We stopped at the hunting hut with a known hunter. Hut nicely renovated. They're diligent. In Žaga Renata and I swam. Marijan maybe when Soča is above 20 degrees. That's far off. nasmeh

pinkerton, thanks. Once you start exploring, it pulls you on. But such paths are demanding fitness-wise. And especially I like that we don't rush. And so we notice more on the path and along it. nasmehNow a local hunter who knows the paths well has described our route to us. But we went a bit our own way. On the map you can exactly see where the path should go, marked blue. Our path is marked red. 1650m elevation gain.
In red is the path where we walked. In blue is the path where we should have walked according to GPS.1
