I wrote in the post the walking time from Zavrzelno via Mali Rombon to the top. 4 hours and 40 minutes. Some young ones get there faster too. For me that's perfectly fine. Getting to Rombon in December without winter gear is really a strange winter. You have proof regarding Golak. There was much more snow up there last time, when I took two boys and booted Maxi, so his paws wouldn't get cold.

Zavrzelno - planina Goričica. Then off-trail to the remains of defensive trenches towards Mrtvaške glave. That's what they call them. There we checked out the caverns. Went across past Krljišče to the path from Kluž. Further on, somewhere below the summit, turned right to the unmarked path. And again to the path to the top. The morning looked like nice weather. But then clouds rolled in and covered the peaks. Descended the other side towards Veliki Ušec. On this part of the path, old faded markings. Path poorly visible. Somewhere still visible steps. At the rock where "Veliki vrh" is written, turn left off-trail. Direction Čukla. Over bigger rocks. Somewhere cairns are set. A little ahead from the scree where one comes from the Naklo gully, find the mountain path. The plan was to go to Čukla and descend the other side. But we didn't decide and went the ascent path past planina Goričica to Zavrzelno. When going towards the Rombon summit, a guy overtook us who was going from Rombon to Prevala. He had a long way. From the top he missed the path but returned to the right one, said he heard our voices. Hope he arrived safely. The tour was orientationally demanding. If you're used to such paths, nothing is hard.
