Boštjan is quick in walking and describing, I plod slowly and nicely behind himnasmeh
A bit after six we leave the car's comfort and start the long path with firm steps. Main group went straight, we went right uphill after Šlajmer. Walking conditions divine, backpack light and we're at the bivvy. I change all my clothesvelik nasmeh, hang wet ones to dry. I was a bit doubtful if they'd even be dry on return, as Dolkova Špica was already veiling in fog. In the next hour and a half we reach Škrlatičina shoulder, where we head to Kotel. Short break there, meanwhile Dušan calls from Rokav summit, who in 'night stage' also took Srednji. With Boštjan we hurry after him, on summit all three linger a while 'searching for clear view', but fog prevents it successfully. Descent to Kotel, ascent to Škrlatičina shoulder and walk to cross I soloed, as the youngsters were too fast for me. Despite late hour there were still some hikers on summit, fog slowly lifting, nice memories of the tour will remain.

After two years' break, yesterday it took me up there again. Literally. Super feeling, pleasantly cool (and dark at the start)velik nasmeh, backpack with no extra junk. Hit all passages first try this time - by eighth ascent it should be smooth (if not, climbed a bit)mežikanje. At the top, check watch, exactly 4.20.00heek. Check again, Strava same time. Like healthy young years.
After morning jam in queue before tunnel, everything smooth for real. Stopped longer only in kotel, change clothes and water and put big bottle to cool in snow. Early hour sun already warm, didn't think I'd beat heavy shower by just a minute around four, watched through Aljažev dom window.nasmeh
On return from kotel up to Škrlatica, quite a few visitors, mostly foreigners. Spot them from afar by self-belay kits. There unpack clothes again, poorly closed bottle soaked dry ones too besides sweaty. Sun baking, half-dried clothes. Looong descent ahead, took much more time than ascent. Comfy to car then at Dani's cream slice and beer.nasmehnasmeh

Yesterday quite unplanned first of 4 Rokavs succeeded. To Mojstrana then vain wait for bus to Vrata, dunno which stop on main road etc. Locals split so walk to Vrata. In good 1h15' at Aljažev dom then hot ascent to bivak 4, still pondering original plan peaks around Dolkova špica but on Kuclj Škrlatica lures. Over some pegs slowly up to shoulder, tempted to at least try descent to Kotel, time left. Since already in Kotel of course try Spodnji Rokav. Hit entry then to window all impassable. Try lots till realize need visible traverse over gully. Down to ridge and over gully where one passage really awkward, then think tech difficulties end but under summit difficulty increases a lot, narrow ledge around rock then rope for descent to gully. Arrive summit late, just sign moldy book few pages photographed return no big orientation loops via Kotel to shoulder bivvy on Škrlatica. Night windy and quite cool. Morning to Dolkova špica. Rogljica unfortunately failed, climbed to edge no right passage. Maybe someone knows how Rakova špica, Rogljica and Dovški Gamsovec compare in difficulty to Spodnji Rokav? Then sun started scorching, so abandon idea of descent via Kriška stena or any summit ascent and go west path to bivak 4. Lose markers climb bunch of steps to scree then sit in shade of bivak, water running low, quick descent to Vrata where cold drink really welcome. This time bus to Mojstrana and home no major issues.

Already up to there all loose. On that ledge though tried foot placement and it broke off and scared me. Then no more sensible continuation. Seemed all too hard. And hot too. In short all "twos" I climbed seemed harder here. Dunno, it was hot and hadn't slept well.

I haven't been to Rogljica, but Rakova špica and Dovški gamsovec seemed easier to me. Once you get some more scree experience, these two are nothing special.
