Together to the mountains

Hello all mountain lovers! We love pristine nature, the peace of morning dew and beautiful sunny vistas. It's nice to share all this with someone who has the same interest and it's also safer to hike in the mountains in company. So I'm opening a new thread so that such people can find each other. Let's use modern communication – internet and overcome prejudices about it, use private messages, email etc. So say if you want company for the mountains and maybe the moments in the mountains will be even better then. Mountaineers, let's connect in common admiration of the mountains! P.S. I apologize in advance to Mate07 and velkavrh, because I allowed myself to copy their post, I hope it's not too bad.

I'm a 39-year-old Maribor guy, big lover of mountains and hiking and looking for a lady, can also be a mom, up to 40 years, height up to 168 cm and likewise a mountain lover, for shared experiences of our beautiful mountain trails. If you're looking and feel what I do, then you can write to my e-mail: iopresnik@gmail.com PS-"If you want to get to know a person, go with them to the mountains". PLP Igor

Mate07 - http://www.hribi.net/profil.asp?id=4880, 27.7.2009 But I'm interested if someone goes soon to Triglav and would like some company. Alone I just don't dare to go. I have plenty of time and still want to go to Triglav this year.

Burja, today I spotted this thread and think it's more than welcome. In future I'll try to use this, because choosing unverified unknown paths alone is sometimes risky. At least in my case over Šraj pesek it didn't end well. Gregcs1, if you saw my post on this thread, you can see I corrected the mistake. Nice mountain greeting!

On Wednesday I'm free and weather probably nice too. Would start from Tamar. Since no crampons I'd avoid snowfield under the notch, so up and down via Kotovo sedlo.

I would go somewhere on Sunday because there will be nice weather. If anyone has some trip in mind, I can join. Maybe there will even be more of us.

I went to Storžič today. Unfortunately I really can't go with some group because I walk slowly, lots of rest. Maybe for more demanding hikes.

Still it's nicer and especially safer if we go to mountains in a group. In mountains the rule applies: adapt to slower ones - slowest right behind the leader.

I hike 70% in summer and winter alone in mountains. Then I experience mountains deeper, rest mentally better, adapt exceptionally only to my walking pace and see what interests me up there.

Wonderful feeling in the mountains to be alone. Walk at your own pace, rely on your abilities. Enjoy peace and experience nature completely differently than in a group. Hiking in the mountains, searching off-trails and summit experiences unforgettable moments. Whoever is given this will understand what Tolstoy wrote; "Whoever is with nature, is never alone." Everyone decides and chooses their company themselves.

I agree, viharnik. This year for the first time I went alone on a tour, chose this. Also noticed that I pay much more attention if alone on a hike. The whole thing also turns out very meditative, can sort thoughts,...

Everyone has their experience. When I was young I also most liked going alone to mountains. Then I realized good company fits just right. Once I broke my leg on a mountain and I tell you, then it's not good to be alone. Now on autumn evenings I could tell you all night about nice shared experiences I spent in mountains with colleagues and female colleagues... Glad the topic caught on a bit anyway. So we who like company in mountains don't despair! Maybe someone doesn't have time or interest right away but need to try multiple times. It's like with women: try many times in vain... Whoever likes in mountains just a loner, skip this topic.

Also I 90% go to mountains alone. That way I can adapt only to my current psycho-physical needs and enjoy. When going climbing then necessarily in company of climbing partner.
