…Path at the start bare and quite dry, then muddy, then icy, and "streamlets" already flowing, but after some twenty minutes we stepped on first snow patches and with height more and more snow…Really glad for nice firm track nasmeh, which below saddle started getting less solid zadrega, well, from saddle on we battled crusting and sinking to… zavijanje z očmimežikanje… though we left our tempers home to be as light as possible nasmeh…There were curses and lots of laughs, tiring too digging out of holes…but luckily from saddle to summit not far…nasmeh
At top…yeah, another "little guy" not reaching "two jurs", but views "to shout for" nasmeh…enjoyed them, recalled memories, sat a bit, rang the bell for luck and promised to return nasmeh.

. Good part of path is flat, winding also among pines. We met an older couple picking lingonberries around here, apparently plenty. Otherwise really nice end, not crowded, super view awaits at topmežikanje.]]>

...To Trupej via Železnica. The trail is almost overgrown, so few visitors. Then Ira and I continued to Maloško poldne and Ostri peči. Then I stumbled upon a lamb on the trail, full of ants on it. When I tried to chase the ants away, it barely moved into the grass. Mom came quickly to defend it and the whole flock after her. Interesting how connected they are, more than some people. Poor little one, probably died. From Ostri peči continued to Kresišče. There sat a couple of border Slovenes. The only ones I met on the whole path. Descent via Grajšca to Hladnik hunting hut and then to Sr. Vrh. Good that this forest road is mostly in shade, water also not lacking. Path pleasant even in this season, čavnasmeh

Today I did a loop from Srednji vrh to hunting hut and via planina Grajšca to Kresišče, Maloško and Trupejevo poldne. Path without features, snow remnants don't hinder. From Trupejevo poldne descended to Blekova planina (very nice alpine pasture with wonderful views to Slovenia and Austria). From there ascent to Vošca and descent gently back to start. Path probably even nicer when larches color.

Today, at 8:00 it was -9 degrees at the starting point. Right after the first trudging uphill, it was no longer forecast data nasmeh Still untrampled, almost all the time in shade, but it went. Towards the saddle because of that, since I could barely get out of the holes on the spot, also full of curses, but for one single minute I didn't regret... Because this today was really one proper kitschy tour!

On this misty and windy day I decided to go to Trupejevo poldne namely from Srednji vrh via variant Železnica-Trupejevo poldne. Before me there was already one hiker on top yesterday, so now there's track, well, quite okay. Snow starts right after Srednji vrh. Snow is dry and occasionally sinks through on track, so for ascent besides written 2 hours count appropriate addition. Snow depth: to knees. Crampons stayed in backpack, ice axe didn't touch snow. Also on ridge snow not fully blown off, no ice on ridge. After hunters hut and forest clearing track cross: right to saddle and summit, left is the one for descent. Firs already holiday decorated, lights on, those on top due to strong wind all in lace. On top windless, views wonderful.

On Monday, 26.5., I set off from Srednji vrh to Trupejevo Poldne. No special features on the path, have to step over a few meters of snowfields, but on gentle parts, so no problems. Views were few due to clouds, nevertheless, the tour was very nice.

Today I went to Trupejevo poldne from Martuljka. Conditions excellent, as kgregor says a bit below the saddle between TP and Lepi vrh there is still quite some snow, but it can be bypassed. Path from saddle arranged (sawed dwarf pines). But I have two questions: why is the valley called Železnica and where can I get to if I go towards Vošca along the ridge from the top - can I descend towards Železnica? And where does the path that from the saddle under TP runs horizontally to the west go? Thanks for the answer.

I heard a story that they found iron ore there???
Little path leads to path that goes to Maloški p. and further to Vošca. But if from little saddle under TP you descend other side (so opposite from Železnica), path leads to hunters hut and then forest road another ca. 3 km to Srednji Vrh. I like this variant more.
Anyway it's very nice in these areas in autumn when larches turn yellow.
Good luck everyone.
