I also went the same path, about half an hour later behind you. In Turski gully I was hit by a barrage of stones that Croatian =alpinists= above me were generously dislodging. When I asked what they were doing, they kindly replied they were cleaning the wall. Well, get angry. The path is unique, I couldn't part from the ibex. Under Kotliči I also observed a smaller herd of chamois with young. Then no wonder that I had a wonderful view of fog on Brana. But on the saddle it was clear again. Still a very nice tour. Lp.

Capin, the tour is really nice! Still bothering me is the wire rope that's completely torn at the end of the attachment to the bolt. You probably noticed it, it's held by just a few wires and I hope no one flies if it loosens more. It's more at the beginning of the entry into the wall (T. gully) and I hope they'll replace it before it unravels for someone!!! On Brana we also weren't treated to a different view than fog (at moments, it cleared a bit). Lp

I'm interested what the path to Turska gora via Žmavčarje is like, is it well marked? Does anyone have pictures?

To which Turkish mountain can you of course get via Istanbul or Ankara. To Turska gora via Žmavčarje there is no marked path.

Via Žmavčarje there is a well-followable path and it doesn't pose major problems! Guest, pictures are on this portal, check under descriptions for Turska mountain and Skuta!

The path via Žmavčarje is quite steep so you need quite some fitness, otherwise a wonderful tour. I recommend descending from the top of Turska mountain to Kotilče then to Brana, from Brana to Kamniško sedlo. To Kamniška Bistrica the path drags on, then we have to (if car left at the freight cable car for Kokrsko sedlo) a bit on the forest road

On Wednesday I went via Turski gully to Turska mountain and via Kotliči towards Kamniško sedlo then jumped to Brana and back to Okrešelj! In the gully the route section needs fixing, because the fixed ropes are not in "Trustworthy" condition, and some are missing, which filled me with adrenaline!! Despite that, extraordinary tour and several conversations with "hikers" in foreign languages came in handy!. My hands didn't hurt only because of the path (ropes, bolts) Extremely nice tour! I recommend it!!

Last week up there when there was snow and icy, so caution on the path won't hurt. Nevertheless a phenomenal tour.

Congratulations to Sebastjan for safely bringing us to the top of this beautiful mountain - I think that despite 20cm of snow, which there was last week (below the summit) the path on the south side even above the bivouac is dry (there it was only a few cm). The north side will remain snowy if there's no thaw.

Has any more snow fallen these days? Is the path to the summit on the south side (via Žmavčarje) still safe without winter gear?

Yesterday we went via Žmavčarje. Despite a couple of cm of snow falling in between, there is less than on the upper photos. We didn't need winter gear. Especially on the ridge where the path goes to the north side, caution is needed.

I was alone on Turska Mountain on Saturday. There's considerably more snow than on the upper picture.

Primož76: so you used winter gear? or what was the path like through the Žleb? Thanx for the reply.

I went up and down alone via Žmavcarje and not via Turski žleb. I didn't use winter gear because I figured crampons would be more of a hindrance than help, the snow wasn't hard and frozen after all. But I had all the necessary winter gear in or on the backpack, so there's no mistake. Attaching a pic of Turski žleb.

Haven't been in the high mountains for a while - this photo really surprised me !! (at the same time it's a warning for inexperienced and unequipped hikers) Regards
