Early in the morning from planina Ravne pod Dleskovcem to Veliki vrh, then to Velika Zelenica and from there to Molička peč. The trail is nice and fairly well marked with cairns. Nice weather with some wind!

The filter is probably from my colleague who went up on Saturday and Sunday to photograph birds. I sent him the number and hope they've already "found" each other.

You decided correctly, the descent from Velika Zelenica is not marked and you have to search for passages through the brush to reach Poljske device. If you visit them sometime it is nicer trodden via planina Polšak and cairns help on harder brush sections. The trail from planina Ravne to Veliki vrh is marked and a real pleasure, especially via Zeleni trate.

On free Monday we use it for areas less known to me and drive to pl. Podvežak, but I forgot that the drive takes 1.5 hours. Shame, because they are really nice spots!! Goal is V. vrh, but instead of towards Molička planina, we turn right towards Pl. Ravne, because I was sure we were at Pragu and then at Dleskovec pl. we turn left, where we find markings for V. vrh. It seems a bit strange to me because we make such a detour, but lesson for the 2nd time!! Quite hard snowfield just below the summit, but made footprints ease those few meters. On the summit calm, nice views, Ojstrica really rules this end. No living souls anywhere, no one all day!! We descend towards Mol. pl. and thus realize my mistake and the marked trail. Obviously we have to return to step also on Mol. Peč and Poljske device... LP

Today 26.12. to V.Vrh. By car to the intersection of the road to Planina Vodole and pl.Ravne. From there to planina Vodole via Inkret and along the southern side to the peak. Snow is just right, almost no problem getting up, only ice axe advisable, crampons not needed. Descent via gully to saddle. Gully filled with powder so descent excellent, ascent not recommended. Then via Dolge Trate to planina Ravne.

On Sunday 8.1.2012 from Podvežak via Prag to V. Vrh and V.Zelenica. I wanted to warn about snow holes between both peaks, caused by warmer air from limestone cracks and now invisible in snow. Also from Sedelca direction to V.vrh one crosses a deeper crack not always visible, so caution needed there too.

Has anyone been to V. Vrh these days? What's the condition up there, how much snow? On Sunday I'd head up with skis if weather ok, curious about the conditions...

I have KSA from Krvavec onwards to the west like on a plate as I watch them from the home terrace, but these more eastern peaks are somehow "out of reach" for me. So I've been putting off visiting this end for quite a while, but yesterday I said to myself that sooner or later it's time to go there too if we're to visit all KSA peaks over 2000... And I went.... Start from the parking lot above planina Ravne. The access to the starting point is already interesting... Man, some 12 km of good climb from Podvolovjek, of which 10 are solid macadam. And at some places along the road there are signs indicating that this is also some kind of bike trail. Hats off to whoever climbs up here, not only that, but also whoever gets down alive First to Veliki vrh. The path is perfectly marked throughout (right to the top), so the list of mountains on this portal needs to be corrected that it's a marked path. It is really easy, purely enjoyable... a bit up, a bit down, somewhat almost flat, scenic passages in the karst world, only the last ascent to the saddle between Veliki vrh and Velika Zelenica on the ridge warms a person up a bit, so that a beer on the top fits... Then a stroll to Velika Zelenica. This path from the same starting point could also be described as marked, since from the saddle between both peaks, where you arrive, as previously said, via a very well marked path, it's just another 5 minutes to the top, which you really can't miss... Then the plan was return the same way down to the place where the path/unmarked trail to Molička peč branches off. But I noticed that there is also a trail going down along the eastern ridge, unmarked but quite followable (if I lost it, I stuck to the ridge), which brought me in a couple of minutes without problems to the saddle between Velika Zelenica and Molička Peč. From there I wanted to go a bit my own way - directly up the ridge (otherwise the trail goes right off the ridge into the bushes already after less than 10 meters from the saddle up), but it didn't quite work out. At the beginning it was still possible, walking along the edge of the ridge above a quite substantial drop down into Robanov kot (careful and not for the vertiginous), but somewhere halfway to the top the bushes reached right to the ridge edge and it was no longer possible to proceed. Then I had to descend through the bushes, but soon I stepped onto that trail coming from the saddle and followed it more or less to the top. Descent along the trail to the saddle and via the lower variant (unmarked trail) to the marked path to Veliki vrh or Velika Zelenica. In short, a wonderful, not strenuous tour, easy even for the afternoon for those who don't live too far from the starting point... On the weather forecasters I'd rather not...

PV, you mixed a bit. What you call Molička peč is actually Poljske device. Ridge continues to Križevnik. Molička peč is above Molička planina.

Hm, interesting. On Grintovci map 1:25000 Molička peč drawn left of V. Zelenica and both peaks right (2028m and 1879m) named Poljske device, on KSA 1:50000 first right peak named Molička peč, second Poljske device. Apologies if I was wrong.

What do I know... I prepared the route by descriptions and map from this portal... as the map shown in description of route to Molička peč from Ravne over Sedelce shows, I was on Molička peč... Poljske device should be further east... also the peak I think is Molička peč where I was is higher per that map than next east which should be Poljske device... Molička peč 2028m, Poljske device 1879m. And from last peak east where I was today I looked down on the next.... Really don't know...
