Which butterfly or insect is this?

Incredible what you caught, Deniss. They're probably feeding on moisture from moss and soil. Is this from now or from the archive? These whites are still quite a puzzle to me, hard to determine the species and I'm never sure it's correct. Could be wood whites, you're probably right because they have more pronounced veins on wings, like hawthorn white, but those don't have such a yellow tint. Really well captured moment!

Nice, great that you thought of this column, zlatica. And lots of beautiful photos have lined up. Here's another one of mine, from the path through Sovatna to Pogačnikov dom at the end of August 2017, when I spotted a nice insect on a flower. And also a link of two butterflies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz-5Pe-DddM

Tamara, such a wedding dance of two butterflies on video I haven't seen yet; very interesting. Obviously it's the wood white butterfly. Your insect from the path through Sovatna is a nice beetle called hairy pollen bearer or striped brush. Usually found on knapweeds, like your wasps, Zvončica. Coincidentally I know those two insects inside the peony, those are golden miners, under them probably some kind of longhorn. For today also an insect that brings luck. lp

Oh, thanks zlatica for naming the beetle and for the luck-bringing insect. Today I got plenty of it. Zvončica, that was probably pure joy when you spotted so many little creatures on the flowers. Nice. Today I wandered along the Sava riverbank and caught some moments of our little winged friends.

Tamara, you stumbled upon the copulation of two whites, as the professional term for the union of butterflies is called, then on some kind of flower beetle - I can't see it clearly enough (it was surely miniature in reality, if it's sitting on the spadix flower), then indeed on a brimstone, on picture 4 I also can't distinguish the insect well enough and on the last two on a checkered butterfly. You're diligently supplying us with such little flowers and insects. I'm glad for your response. lp

Nice, oldtimer. Since Zlatica is a good teacher, I think on picture 2 it's thistle moth, on 3 small nettle, on 4 glider, on picture 8 golden mines. If I'm wrong, it means I'm not the best student. Best regards to all!

Oldtimer, nice photos you presented to us. And Zvončica, see how quickly you're learning, so I think you forgot to name that butterfly, as it's one of the most recognizable - brimstone! I'm still learning too, but I've really gotten to know some insects over the years. Where did you catch the butterfly on picture 5? It's a bit similar to a map in pattern, though not in color... on Picture 6 there's really a crowd of insects, but not distinct enough to identify.., on 7 there's one ovnič, on picture 8 lepenci - gornice, on 9 I don't know, and on 10 spider from the orbweaver family..

Zlatica, the sparkly one I really omitted by mistake . But I was too quick in identifying the insects on picture 8. Only now did I look at them properly and they really don't look like my golden mines on the buttercup flower 2.4. I think oldtimer didn't believe me either. Lp

Brimstone with a spot in the middle of the wing, which is nicely visible also on oldtimer's picture. Cekinček was a slip . Lp

How interesting! When I look at this silhouette of the beetle and the thickening of one leg segment, I thought of a weevil. Too bad the head and thorax aren't more visible.
