Good evening from me too. Not many flowers left and not much time, it seems. Otiv and Zlatica, very blooming balconies, although....although I don't really like such flowers in the mountains. They don't seem to fit the environment. Gorenjski carnations maybe. Well, that's my view. Zlatica, I agree with your naming of Irina's plant from Croatian Istria. More often they use synonym Satureja subspicata = dwarf savory.

Apolonija, your naming supplement is welcome, as always. It all shows that professionally this is the more correct term.. Flower colors are really a nice complement to autumn nature and very noticeable.

Autumn is here and only here and there we still spot the last little flowers on the autumn paths. They defy the cold and frost, even the recent first snow on the two-thousanders didn't harm them. I found this one on our traverse of Krede, Slatne and on all three Voglas.

Yes, zlatica I'm already making lists and plans for botanical hikes next spring. I want to seek out and find specific mountain flowers that I either didn't photograph well or haven't found at all yet. Among them Črna prst, Vremšica, Nanos, Krn, obligatory also visit to Juliana in Trenta.

Thanks, Brane In Voje valley it's really nice and the weather obliged us too, so the walk among pastures full of life was even more pleasant. Nice greeting! Mirjam, nice to see the karst decorations of nature and the autumn foliage, I'll come to see it this year too, since the wish is like that.

Otiv, what did you photograph on picture 5? I can't see it very well.... Mirjam, hermelika interests me a lot, because I've never seen it blooming like that in nature. Let us know again sometime with some flower

@zlatica on picture 5 it's just a motif from the forest where the sun shone on a grassy oasis and I "captured" it on my little camera. Nice greeting!

Otiv, thanks, but it seemed to me there was something special among the grass, like some lisičjak...(lycopodium)

Mirjam67, is it definitely stonecrop under picture 4? It seems to me that it has too hairy leaves, stonecrop has fleshy and smooth ones.

francimedved, it's definitely stonecrop. Maybe the leaves look hairy on the picture, but they aren't. They are fleshy and smooth. I took this at Stari grad above Vipava, where it's full of it and now in the most beautiful bloom. Older people here soaked it in brandy and used it to "lubricate from outside and inside"

Mirjam67, thanks, I believe you. The photo really shows leaves somewhat unclearly, I just didn't get how those flowers go with such leaves. I remember times when my parents soaked stonecrop in schnapps.
