Otiv and palček plezalček, interesting also this, as evident from links, that three-leaved anemones differ among themselves, some have 6 or 7 petals, others 10 like this yours, Otiv; while wood anemone usually has 6 petals. Didn't find any data on this in literature.

It's even more interesting if flowers are a bit different in number of petals and color. I read that three-leaved anemone usually has 6 petals like wood anemone. Max number of petals is 12 for three-leaved, 10 for wood. Variants with odd number also exist. Besides white they can be pinkish, bluish and violet shades.

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone recognizes this little flower. Flowers are about 2cm large, several on one stem. The plant itself is around 10-15cm tall and has lanceolate leaves. It grows on rockier ground. Besides the pink colors there is also a yellow-white flower combination. Locally in the hills east of Lj we call it žvamborc.

This is žanjevec - Latin Polygala chamaebuxus. It is an evergreen subshrub from the grebenušk family.

This plant has really many local names: ramšela, bunny, ješprenček, Evelyn says: žvamborc and surely there are others. Velkavrh, where do you hike? Some miss you. Your comments and pics. Right, Zlatica?

I've been to Šmarna gora many times, but never noticed stemless lousewort. On which side does it grow?

Bumbi on the southern side, below Šmarna gora, not on the slope, but along the Sava.

How richly blooming these cowslips are, the stem really bends under the mass of flowers . Thanks for thinking of me too at these beauties!
