otiv, under no. 5 is common primrose - I didn't know it until this year either, under no. 6 is alpine sea thrift - very common white flower. Under no. 1 is scarlet-red orchis - I haven't seen it myself yet. From the first set under no. 9 is daisy-leaved hawkweed - in mid and high mountains there are no daisies.

Very beautiful mountain flowers and I see that some are very interested in them. I have had a pocket edition booklet for many years with flowers illustrated in their natural environment and a short description. They are arranged by colors (blue, yellow, red, white and green), so that you can find them more quickly in the booklet. The booklet has 420 flowers illustrated and described. The title of the booklet is Alpine Flowers by Wolfgang Lippert, published by Cankarjeva založba in distant 1987. I hope there is some reprint.
I wish you much enjoyment in admiring Alpine flowers.

Since yesterday the nicest flowers of Kranjski Jošt. Yes, Jošt also has its flowers.
In the forest along the entire path I spot red helleborine-Cephalanthera rubra-orchids-Orchidaceae. It is supposed to be rare-here there are many of them. It cheers us all the way to the top.1
At the very summit the whole slope is colorful with Coronilla varia-legumes-Fabaceae,2
On the steep slope by the road I discover common goat clover-Lembotropis nigricans-legumes-Fabaceae.3
Below Jošt peak on small bushes few-flowered Spanish clover-Dorycnium germanicum-legumes-Fabaceae.4
It seems I will soon know all clovers-miss clover-scarlet red clover.5
Everywhere also many large stands of hawkweeds.6
Right at the start of the path I find dotted loosestrife-Lysimachia punctata-primulas-Primulaceae-I haven't seen it in nature this year yet.7
Below the summit I encounter Turk's cap lily-Lilium martagon.8
On the slope below the summit I discover globeflower.9
In between all yellow with real lady's bedstraw-Galium verum-bedstraws-Rubiaceae.10
In between also real islets of squinancywort-Asperula cynanchica-bedstraws-Rubiaceae.11
Here I also spot common restharrow-Ononis spinosa-legumes-Fabaceae, which I haven't seen this year yet.12
I also come upon a growth of completely white Montpellier pinks-Dianthus montpessulanus-carnations-Caryophyllaceae.13
Now I see them often, only all are more or less pink-violet.14
Various knapweeds are a special chapter-mountain knapweed-Centaurea montana-asters-Asteraceae.15
Various knapweeds are a special chapter-Fritsch's knapweed-has a completely different flower than all other knapweeds.16
This one was completely red-narrow-leaved knapweed-Centaurea pannonica-asters-Asteraceae.17
Of course bellflowers are not missing-it should be Bolognese bellflower-Campanula bononiensis-Campanulaceae.It does not grow in the alpine world, it likes to grow by roads.18
Only on one slope I found a stand of this bellflower.I studied these low bellflowers and think I found it.It should be Beck's bellflower-Campanula beckiana-Campanulaceae.19
Currently on all meadows I find clustered bellflower-Campanula glomerata-Campanulaceae.20
On some hillside also this-peach-leaved bellflower-Campanula persifolia-Campanulaceae.21
On the way back along the main road under Slevo I stumble on a stand of common loosestrife-Lythrum salicaria-Lythraceae.22
And its flower closer. I have already encountered the first cyclamen, keeled garlic, various hawkweeds, full of primroses, common cow-wheat etc.23

All the nicest flowers of Jakob above Preddvor – 24.06.2012.
On the little meadow before the church I found this wonderful bellflower—it was the only one—gorgeous. It is peach-leaved bellflower. I haven't seen it like this so far.1
Here I also find Bolognese bellflower—I found it already down below right after the parking lot. Later it strayed here—it is from Jošt.2
It resembles the common hawkweed.3
Fritsch's hawkweed.4
The nodding thistle is beautiful—under the church on the slope there is a whole field of it—I went down and photographed it. It has almost the same color as hawkweeds.5
Common betony—Betonica officinalis—Lamiaceae.6
Jacquin's betony—Betonica alopecurus—Lamiaceae.7
This hawkbit—I don't know which one, grows everywhere.8
I also found the only little bush of this flower—it looks like from the genus of wild chrysanthemums. I haven't found its name yet.9
Its flower close up.10
This bellflower was also only one on the same little meadow in front of the church. It is completely different from the Bolognese. Flowers are more vivid purple and smaller.11
This one is from the mallow genus—just like among the nettles under the church. It is wood mallow—Malva sylvestris—Malvaceae.12
Once again the wonderful flower of the nodding thistle—Carduus nutans ssp. nutans—Asteraceae.13
And common hawkweed.14
Fritsch's hawkweed cannot be confused with the others because it is so different. Somehow I failed to photograph the keeled garlic, and there are plenty.15

Now yesterday's flowers from the trip to Planjava. Right at the hut to the left a huge stand of edelweiss and all around full of rock cinquefoils. Few know that edelweiss are already here – they are protected, so let's look at them, don't pick them.
First the Kamnik black orchid—Nigritella lithopolitanica—Orchidaceae.1
Second place this time to edelweiss—Leontopodium alpinum—Asteraceae.2
As the third flower I present Clusius's cinquefoil—for now only the first flower—Potentilla clusiana—Rosaceae.3
Now my darlings - flower of scaly saxifrage. This saxifrage is abundant everywhere and the most common.4
I also find the first flowering hairy saxifrage - Saxifraga sedoides - saxifrages - Saxifragaceae. I mix up the hairy and the evergreen one.5
In the rocks of Planjava, starry saxifrage - Saxifraga stellaris ssp. alpigena - saxifrages - Saxifragaceae.6
This is hairy shield in buds. I mistook it for saxifrage in buds.7
Alpine thrift - Armeria alpina - thrift family - Plumbaginaceae.8
Right at the hut huge stands of stemless campion - Silene acaulis - campions - Caryophyllaceae.9
There is also a lot of hairy shield.10
We can't miss the arnica - there are several varieties.11
Flower of naked adenostyle - Adenostyles glabra - Asteraceae.12
Stemless globularia - Globularia nudicaulis - Globulariaceae.13
Here are also huge stands of Julian flax - Linum julicum - Linaceae.14
Is it the pink or the headed lousewort.15
Flowers of Lobel's (green) hellebore-Veratrum album lobelianum-hellebores-Melanthiaceae. There is also white hellebore, which is quite rare and has a branched stem with paniculate inflorescence, and black hellebore.16
Bavarian masterwort-Astrantia bavarica-masterworts-Apiaceae.17
Alpine wormwood, I am often in doubt whether mountain or alpine-with every so-called flower.18
There are plenty of these small chickweeds too.19
This is the flower up close. It is hairy chickweed-Minuartia capillacea-carnations-Caryophyllaceae.20
These have slightly larger flowers. These chickweeds, edelweiss and other small white flowers still confuse me.21
This is one of the small-flowered edelweiss-grows above the hut towards the scree.22
I do not know the difference between ovoid hawkweed and common one-sunflower.23
Everywhere above the hut Traunfellner's golden saxifrage is also blooming.24
In the forest finally a somewhat successful photo of cyclamen Cyclamen purpurascens-primroses-Primulaceae., it always starts blooming at the beginning of summer.25
.These pink ones at least look like masterworts there are plenty along the path from Pastirci to the hut in tall grasses. It is well visible26
Also its flower up close. This should be hairy chaerophyllum hirsutum-masterworts-Apiaceae. Mostly I encounter the pink colored one, otherwise it is white.27
I think it is field burnet-has a similar flower-grew quite below the hut.28
On the way to Pastirci-thick-leaved thistle-Carduus crassifolius ssp. crassifolius-thistles-Asteraceae.29
Even closer to its flower. There were many more first-seen alpine flowers this year, simply too many to share. Next weekend to Razor from Vrat via Sovatna to Kriške pode and viewing the lakes, just let the weather be good.30

Velkavrh; The first bellflower from Jakob is peach-leaved, the second isn't the Bolognese one, which it is I couldn't say, sixth and seventh are arnica. Fifth rock-saxifrage from Planjava is humulus-like, awns in buds, first hawkweed isn't spindle-shaped, pale globeflower is Bavarian, on the way to shepherds is thick-leaved thistle.

Anka, thanks! On Jakob's pics I accidentally uploaded a bellflower pic from Jošt. There was also such one on Jakob already by the road at the parking. It is listed in the literature. About 40-50 cm high and has drooping flowers around the stem – above 1000 m there isn't it.

For good morning I offer you yesterday's flowers from the tour to Razor via Sovatna and past Pogačnikov dom to Kriških podih, return via Križ and bivouac IV at Ruševje. There was plenty of new, not everything can be easily shared, and some pictures don't turn out well.
For starters, let it be my last observed avrikelj of this year on the path from Ruševje. It really grew more in the shade.1
On the path across Sovatna, a huge amount of green Lobel's hellebore. This one is really green - I'm confusing it with the white one.2
Hairy hawkweeds Hieracium villosum - hawkweeds - Cichoriaceae - still hiding their flower.3
On the way to Razor among scree and in scree fields, Alyssum ovirense - tower mustard - is already blooming, beautiful.4
I somehow started with yellow flowers, only the green hellebore sneaked in - this is large-flowered leopard's bane - Doronicum grandiflorum. I came across it only at one location towards Razor.5
Kerner's poppy - Papaver alpinum - poppies - Papaveraceae.6
It's alpine rockcress - Arabis - crucifers - Brassicaceae. It's everywhere. The Bohinj one is simply different.7
Wormwoods - most likely Gerard's wormwood, but it could also be spring wormwood, since Gerard's is a subspecies of spring.8
Starry saxifrage and Traunfellner's golden saxifrage.9
I don't overlook any trifle - this eyebright - Euphrasia stricta - figworts - Scrophulariaceae.10
Glacial rattlebox - Rhinanthus glacialis - figworts - Scrophulariaceae - is common.11
This should be Carinthian mouse-ear according to the reviewed material - Cerastium carinthiacum ssp. austroalpinum - campions - Caryophyllaceae. There are many varieties of mouse-ear and they are harder to identify.12
This time I didn't encounter any bellflower - but this one was hiding on the path from bivouac IV. - It should be Carniolan or woolly-leaved. It even says that it grows here. The description matches.13
Carniolan saxifrage - Saxifraga exarata subsp. carniolica - saxifrages - Saxifragaceae.14
One could say that Razor has conquered Carniolan saxifrage, there is so much of it. Otherwise, it is a subspecies of rugged saxifrage, which is divided into three subspecies here.15
I found the only stand of Clusius's globeflower.16
Round-leaved pennycress - Thlaspi cepaeifolium ssp. rotundifolium - crucifers - Brassicaceae. There is full of this flower on Razor's scree fields.17
Now there should already be some other low gentian and no longer spring one. When I studied low gentians, I decided on Triglav gentian or sleepy gentian. It is characteristic that it has an elongated calyx.18
Clusius' and Kock's globeflower puzzle me.19
This is probably mountain cinquefoil or mountain potentilla.20
This year for the first time early in spring on Srednjem vrhu-Zaplata I came across a stand of evergreen gladnica and did not photograph it accurately. I think that would probably be gladnica, the rosette leaves are wonderfully visible.21
I don't know these flowers. Found at Pogačnik hut - only location.22
Koch's gentian is very similar to Clusius's, so we can mix them up. This is Koch's.23
Koch's gentian - undoubtedly.24
I am attaching the entire habitat of the Triglav marmot.25
