I think this has really come alive nicely. This way we learn to recognize mountain flowers. At least I've filled in a couple of flowers that I didn't know by name before. If some flower seems new to me, I examine it—leaves, flowers—and try to photograph it as best as possible and then identify it at home using various materials. It's true, I don't always have time to devote myself to it thoroughly. This year I've certainly snapped a couple dozen different flowers on all paths, but not always a nice shot. Every hike brings me some new flower; only on Vrtača it was mainly just grass—at least currently—really nice.

Yes, and we have a good teacher among us. But sometimes I'm a bit stubborn and need some proof ... ...that I was thinking about pic 8, that it's the hairy houseleek, was mainly guided by the color of the flowers; the shaggy houseleek has the center of the flowers more distinctly red. It's true, though, that you need to compare leaves and stem too; on the pic itself it's not the most visible. Lately I'm dealing with the book Alpine Plants by Godet, pretty good book.

Jprim: the difference between hairy and shaggy scale is in hairiness and leaf arrangement, which isn't visible on the picture. But hairy doesn't grow in the Julian Alps, so this is shaggy, if photographed on Bogatin. It would be good to add names to the pictures after the plants are identified.

It would be great and useful at the same time, to write down the names of the little flowers then, since then no need to browse books anymore, This way a botanical page will slowly emerge. And yeah the little flowers aren't too hard nuts, maybe the first one a bit more work. LP!

Vrtača, every year I do a tour in this direction because of the flowers and blooming scree, this year it hasn't happened yet. Catchfly ... again you have one species - capitate, there are many of those too.

In Paklenica a photo of this little flower was taken, which in my opinion is a type of logarica.
After extensive googling I found the info that it's Fritillaria gracilis ('nježna kockavica').

slavi092, wonderful close-ups.
Regarding my second pic from the tour around Bogatinsko sedlo peaks, here's what: Photographed it by the path above the hut under Bogatin. There I got a nice booklet Po planinskih poteh med kočami Planinskega društva Srednja vas v Bohinju and by Vodnikov dom at Velo polje there's a pic of this marmot - supposed to be pot-bellied marmot. Tomorrow off to Baba nad Ledinami hoping for more flower beauties.
