But next week on a botanical exploration of the entire Košuta ridge except Tolsta Košuta. Looking mainly for gentians which are flowering now. In this area two new species - Ravnik's gentian and Košuta gentian. Ravnik's gentian grows from Košuta ridge via Ljubelj pass to Vrtača. Reminds in color of Rhellikan's gentian - a bit taller growth than Rhellikan's. Košuta gentian in very narrow area of eastern Košuta ridge between Tegoška gora and Tolsta Košuta. Also Kamnik gentian and Rhellikan's gentian. Košuta gentian similar to red gentian, just darker color and not so tufted growth.

In the area from Veliki vrh to Veliko Kladivo there are none. The grass is extremely high and it was still very damp, so there was no possibility to explore the accessible areas along the path and above it more. Maybe you noticed what I encountered on this path.

Yes, rhelikanijeva murka is the most common. This year I saw only this one live.
mirank, your šopasti repušnik on picture no. 8 is wonderful. We find it more rarely.

Branko, a few comments on your flowers from 18.7.:
- on picture 4 is rušnata zvončica
- on picture 11 rožnordeči dežen
- regarding glavinec on picture 17: lasuljasti glavinec usually has branched stem with several umbels, peresasti glavinec however unbranched stem with one umbel.

Yes, it is true, thanks to nature for allowing me a look at it, but what can you do when it's so rare - 3x so far. At our place I haven't found it yet.

darinka4, it really gladdens me that you find and photograph so many mountain flowers. Probably I'm too slow for you to go on a joint tour sometime.
Well, let's see what you photographed:
no. 1. - lanolistna zvončica
no. 4., 5. and 21. - divji klinček
no. 7. - beautiful shot of nasršenega kamnokreča. If you touch the leaf rosettes it's like touching frozen moss.
no. 8.-10. - surely spomladanski svišč.
no. 11.-14. - vednozeleni kamnokreč
no. 15. - too few flowers visible for identification
no. 16. - abraščevolistni grint - most likely - usually colors more orange
no. 17. - can't see flowers well for identification
no. 18. - pojalnik - there are many species
no. 19. - vrbolistni primožek
no. 20. - ozkolistno ciprje

Thanks, Branko. Off-path trails have their charm. You don't rush to the mountains. I didn't photograph all species. Because there were too many.
