Then most likely bladder gentian. Next time take a closer photo. Bladder gentians like to grow in groups and this one on your picture is a nice find. Lp

Yesterday it started crackling and thundering so we quickly shut off all devices and I had to prematurely end my post which I'm continuing today.

It's really nice. Haven't seen it yet. Soon going to Kofce and across the whole Košuta ridge.

@babim Probably yours holds up, in my handbook the pictures aren't very convincing and it's hard to determine the right name.

nice, real gallery of flowers ... but you forgot to write mračica - not račica LP!

On the sixth picture a letter accidentally fell out - that's golostebelna mračica. For the tenth flower though I determined that it's planinski slanozor. For the fifth flower after checking I decided for navadni popon-sončece - but the picture is a bit worse, flower not well visible. Kamnokreč supposed to be zimzeleni, maybe same as otivov, only on mine flower buds aren't orange, maybe also homulični, according to handbooks they are very similar. The last white flower bothers me - maybe clusijev prstnik.

It looks like Clusijev to me too, although the characteristic reddish sepals are not visible.

I'm very bothered by my poorer photo quality. Unfortunately, I will only buy a better camera in the autumn. But I devote myself extremely professionally to the new flower I spot. I shoot from multiple angles and then select the shot that seems best to me, but even those are not always usable. I carry a notebook and even note the shots and main characteristics of the flowers-leaves, height, color, petals, husks, habitat etc. I'm looking forward to new trips and discoveries. Every trip brings me something new.

The last unknown will be predalpski petoprstnik. I don't know what photo apparatus you use, I assume compact? Regarding out-of-focus shots, in most cases the fault is focusing. When you half-press the shutter, you can already see on which part the apparatus focused. If you have auto focus set, that's not always the best choice, as it will probably focus on the nearest object. So you have e.g. a sharp rock and out-of-focus flower next to it. http://www.petersfoto.si

velkavrh - eighth picture: homulični kamnokreč vednozeleni kamnokreč has lemon-yellow or orange-reddish flowers, homulični green-yellow to yellowish.

So I quite correctly assumed it's probably homulični. I use several handbooks, but I notice that in different handbooks there are very different pictures for the same flower. The books will go back to the library soon. Babim, maybe you know which book of appropriate value is available on the market. I haven't really been to bookstores lately. I would risk a euro for a really good handbook. Thanks! B.R.

I too miss one really good book on mountain flowers. I have only a small booklet ALPSKE RASTLINE NAD GOZDNO MEJO, where mainly the most common ones, and even those not many, as the booklet is small and thin. But with it I've already told many what flower it is. Nice greeting

The book by Dr. Vlad Ravnik: Alpsko cvetje Slovenije, could be very interesting to many. Best regards

I don't have my own books. Currently I have from the library Alpine flowers-Wolfgang Lippert and 2x One hundred alpine plants in Slovenia- Tone Wraber-published by Prešernova družba 2006- very good handbook with good photographs- hugely helps in identifying our flowers. Tone Wraber also collaborated on the translation of the first mentioned handbook. It is more extensive, 1987 edition and has many alpine flowers inside that don't grow with us and that just confuses. But it is also very useful, some photographs are worse for identification. I'll try to find also from Ravnik. Thanks!

I'm interested which flower this is, photographed on the path along the ridge towards the top of Jezerski Stog.

Of course the photo isn't close-up and the flower isn't well visible, I think it's the same as my tenth photo, so alpine thrift. On my photo the flower shape is clearly visible. It's quite a common white shrublet. Mine grew in rock crevices and isn't so bushy. Otherwise there are many species of white flowers and they're quite hard to identify. Here I attach two more white ones.
