Silvester, no need, it's more comfortable... so I'm interested what the need for long ones is mežikanje
You catch a snake here before you step up velik nasmeh

Yes...the whole ridge from Deca onwards...at least that's what the old alpinists taught among themselves. But judging by the posts no one goes there anymore...

Yesterday's Zeleniške Spires heated me up thoroughly despite the morning hours. Already at 5.30 at Jermanci there was a crowd, then also through Repov kot, from Staničev vrh three of us went further already before eight. On Nebeški lojtri at the top by the new smaller collapse it is still most stable along the old route right of the collapse (new peg), left everything is even more shaky than until (pre)last year. Since I had plenty of time and rope for descent assistance, I could go over all spires velik nasmeh

From Srebrno sedlo this time I "jumped" into the valley over Planjava, because too many people in Repov kot - we all know how it collapses there, no matter where you retreat. I had to improvise sun protection a bit jezen, because I forgot the cream.

I properly avoided Kamniško sedlo at the invitation of Planjava express scree, though it has to be admitted that the scree doesn't deserve the name in many upper parts mrk pogled
If you don't veer off somewhere on your own, Nebeška lojtra is the hardest part of the tour (the upper and harder part is not visible in the picture, because the route goes behind the bushes in the middle above to the right and on the sunny side of the mo1
Immediately in the ascent descent into the notch, from which beautifully through the ledge into the shade2
This is how Zeleniške špice look from the path from Srebrno sedlo towards Planjava (right Staničev vrh, left Zadnji kup)3
Descent from Sukalnik towards Kamniško selo - no more snow on the path anywhere4
Unique shoes (below the scree)5

Jermanca(900)-Zeleniške Spires(2127)-Planjava(2392)-Za vrati-Jermanca 17.6.2024:

From Jermanca to Repov kot the trail is still fairly level. Just right warmed up, we bit into the steeper slope in Repov kot.
There we casually stopped by the wonderful pools.
We approached Zeleniške via scree gully running under Staničev vrh.
Before Stanič we made a detour to Kovačnica and it didn't disappoint again.
Along Zeleniške we went right on the ridge and it went well. Just one tower in the last part had a few meters too demanding for unprotected descent. Had to go back the same way and then via a noticeably easier bypass on the left.
Beautiful, scenic traverse these Spires are. There are quite a few difficult and exposed details but when searching for holds and footholds you don't notice them.
On the Highest edge on wonderful grasses, joy over all the beauty that this traverse gave us. Then carefully right down to the col and over the window.
Planjava was not originally planned but its nearness pulled us up.
We descended via Sukalnik and through Za vrati to Pri pastirjih.
The Za vrati trail is almost fully overgrown in one part and descending the gully is a much better option.
We ended the nicely utilized day with cold drinks waiting for us at Jermanci.
Dušan and Vinko, thanks for super company on super tour.

Best regards and safe steps to all from under beautiful Golte, Janez 🙂

Hi.

Last Monday (23.6.) somewhere before Staničev vrh or on Srebrno sedlo I forgot my Karpos windbreaker (https://www.karpos-outdoor.com/SI/en/Men's/Products/Jackets/Shell-Jackets/LAVAREDO-RAIN-EVO-JACKET/p/2511039_020)

If anyone passed by and found something, they can notify me at matej11.balazic@gmail.com

Thanks.

Best, Matej

Hi Matej,

I was there on Sunday and didn't see any windbreaker, though I wasn't specifically paying attention to it.

Also, I'd ask some good soul who knows the best passages well to tell me where to go at that main 150m tower. I went quite left of the central chimney/crack, which was quite demanding (ran into two older pegs). I'm attaching a picture of the tower for a better idea.

Yesterday I parked in front of Kamniška Bela. To Orglic is just the right warm-up. Continued to Kamendol, there found the turn-off to Kamniška cave. Nice path to the cave, easy to follow. Looked around a bit, then back to the last bend. There left the path and headed into the unknown. Had no description, just cryptic scraps that I found up here. Before the first gully dashed up the slope, seemed too steep, so went back down, crossed the first gully sideways and continued across to the second. Before it headed up again. Few more minutes grinding up the slope, then damn, almost ran into a cairn. Saw a little path coming from the right, but thought the right direction was left. Cirque above closed by walls, only sideways left maybe something shows. Three more cairns higher confirmed. World opens a bit, only bush belt to the ridge separates me. Sense of orientation not completely gone, hit sawn branches again, nice passages bring me to the ridge. Soon joined the "normal" route from Repov kot and after good three hours at Staničev vrh. Breakfast and sightseeing follow.
Now comes the even more pleasant part, I think. Put on helmet and looked over the edge to the continuation. Spotted frozen rocks and snow patches. Ugh, hadn't counted on that at all, tried anyway but couldn't get over. OK, plan change. Back to the summit and descended to Repov kot. Past two caves continued towards Planjavske zelenice. Climbed to the top and didn't enjoy the views, as clouds partly obscured them. Descended to the saddle, over Sukalnik somewhat annoying, trodden and somewhat icy, but doable. On the saddle looked around some more, then back to the valley and along the road to the car. Finished in the dark.
It was a nice day.

If anyone knows the slopes above Kamniška cave, I'd be happy for some info, does this approach I took perhaps have a name, are there any little paths here... Thanks.

Volk who walked everything here and carefully noted approaches, named them in this area by starting points (from cave left and right, from hospital, towards Petkove njive,...) and also noted that in your approach direction there might have been a pasture long ago, after which the ridge above it is named. Most things also known by Pastirica and Franca, and SilvestrO who is of the slyer sort, just posts some pic as riddlemežikanje If any of them recalls some old name.

It's been twenty years since I first went on this crossing. To the cave there was a path, further only some trace. No cairns either. But somehow it went. When I repeated the thing four years ago, I of course complicated it, but in the end it worked out. Found the abandoned pasture Zelenica, and to this day I don't know where they brought the small livestock up here. All crossings from Bela are terribly steep, found no little paths here. But one reaches Mešenik, Špegarca, Kamniški Dedec.

Thanks to both for the replies.
Pastirica, my approach looked somehow like your track from 21. Just didn't go to Kovačnica.
The whole seemed quite a nice approach to me, not overly steep either.
Regarding the pasture, it's really hard to imagine where it stood. Sometimes one feels like they competed with each other who would place it in a more remote place big

Looks like it was quite lively in Kamniška Bela back then. Excerpt from book Kamniška Bistrica - Bistriški gozd, Tomaž Kočar, p. 98.

***Besides wooden hut of Blaž Ajdovec - Rezmanov, there were in Bela valley then also
"Iguarjeva bajta" (Iglarjeva griča, rock in Bela!), Cvajarjeva bajta (note: Uršič - Lower
Cvajar from Spodnje Stranje) and hut of Blekar from Spodnje Stranje (later there married
Karel Šlebir - Hromčev Korl) maybe more. "Ota" Jože Ajdovec they also said that in those times felled larches in Bela up to Presedljaj. When came from corporation (or emperor?) ban on grazing small livestock (sheep, goats) below 1200m (?), France's great-grandma Marija, wife of Blaž Ajdovec, went "mlest"
molst - sheep and goats up below Staničev vrh (between Repov kot and Bela valley or
above Orlovski jarek (above Orličje waterfall, above "Orglca", Zelenice or pasture
Zelenica). There they had stand for small livestock and grandson France still remembers nettles that grew on site of former stable.***
