Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has been there in the last week or knows someone who went to Palec and Zelenjak? Is the path dry?
Maybe some more advice...

Hello,
For info we were up there today. Path is BP. Snow patches only in the lower part. Before you even get to the scree that rises towards the fork for Palec-Zelenjak. So go ahead boldly.

After really tiring days, at 1:30 I head towards Zelenica. Stars, solitude, and animals' eyes shining from headlamp reflection bring me peacefully to the hut, where I sit in pitch darkness until I get chilled. Through Suho ruševje slowly, like in a trance, dark as hell. Life doesn't wait, death neither!
Below Zelenjak fog embraces me and strong wind starts whipping, so last part I climb more blindly. Day slowly dawns, exactly at 5:00 from Palec I watch mists driven by wind from north. I descend thinking how nice I'll be home by lunch. Return via Ljubeljščica ridge, which through magical views leads me to Povna peč and Ljubelj hut. At spring I wash, descend to car and drive to those I love most!

Ascent to Palec from the saddle is rocky in the upper part, Zelenjak mostly under snow. Through Suho ruševje there's quite some snow, enough to ski back. From Zelenica to Ljubelj it's snowy, but lower down there's plenty of rocks on the track.
Otherwise wonderful areas, worth returning to.

Palec & Zelenjak, how's the passability in direction Palec - Zelenjak - Vrtača, or better reverse? Suitable for person experienced in mountains and vias ferratas, but little experience with unmarked paths? Trackability itself probably no issue, have route in app, just curious about difficulty? And suitable for dog too, also mountain experienced? Plan dry conditions. Many thanks!

Direction is spot on. To all three peaks well-trodden unmarked paths, plus cairns. To Vrtača then from Suhega rušja via Mala glava, assume?
Yes, also for dog if used to rocks and steep terrain, path suitable. I was with my two on all three peaks no issues.

ppegan is right, I too went with my female dog that way to Palec and Vrtača via Mala glava, all fine. If the pup is used to similar paths, pure joy. Two pics from Palec path and two via Mala glava.
