Description of mountain:
Badacsony is the highest volcano in the settlement Tapolcai Medence. Its characteristic is that from southeast it is steeply descending towards the Lake Balaton. On the upper plateau there are a lot of viewpoints, the very peak is in the forest, but there is a lookout tower, from which opens up a really a nice view towards Lake Balaton and surrounding extinct volcanoes. With outstanding visibility the view reaches all the way to Boč, Donačka gora and Pohorje. To the summit lead several marked paths from the nearby settlements, and around the upper plateau runs also a pleasant circular path.
