Cjajnik / Lärchenturm

Description of mountain:
Cjajnik / Lärchenturm is a distinct rocky tower located on the Austrian side of the Košuta ridge. From the summit, where a large piton stands, there is a nice view of the northern walls of Košuta and Austrian Carinthia. A few years ago two very difficult climbing routes were equipped to the summit, reaching difficulty C or D (scale from A to E). The ascent to Cjajnik should only be undertaken in stable weather with good mental preparation, fitness and arm strength. A helmet and self-belay kit are mandatory for the ascent to Cjajnik, and climbing gloves are recommended.
