The nearest peak is Spielkogel, which is located 0.9km vzhodno. 8 km northeast of the mountain hut there is lake Tappenkarsee. 5 km south from the mountain hut there is glacier Kesselkees. South-southeast of the mountain hut is the valley Kleinelendtal.
