The nearest peak is Rötkreuz, which is located 1.6km južno. 4 km north of the mountain hut there is lake Eissee. 5 km northwest from the mountain hut there is glacier Rauhkofelkees, 5 km east-southeast from the mountain hut there is also glacier Rötkees - Vedretta Rossa. The mountain hut is located south-southeast of the valley Zillergründl.
