Gößnitzscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2732 meters in the Schober Group. The saddle is located 9 km east-southeast from the center of Lesach and 9 km southeast from the center of Glor-Berg. The nearest mountain hut is Elberfelder Hütte, located 2km north-northeast. Closer is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak, which is located 0.3km to the west-northwest. 2 km east-northeast from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees. South-southeast of the saddle is the valley Debanttal.
