Description:
Gößnitzkopf is 3096 meter high peak and is part of the Schober Group. The peak is located 8 km east-southeast from the center of Lesach and 8 km east-southeast from the center of Glor-Berg. The nearest mountain hut is Elberfelder Hütte, located 1.9km northeast. A little closer is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak, which is located 0.7km to the south-southeast. 3 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Hornkees. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Gössnitztal.
