Hohe Scharte

Description:
Hohe Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3084 meters and is part of the Schober Group. The saddle is located 0.3 km southeast of peak Kristallkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Elberfelder Hütte, located 2km east-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Gernot-Röhr-Biwak, which is located 1.7km to the north. 3 km east-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees. Northeast of the saddle is the valley Gössnitztal.
