Hochkarscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2165 meters in the Karwendel Mountains. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Austria and the country of Germany. The nearest mountain hut is Dammkarhütte, located 4km west-southwest. A bit closer is Großkar-Hütte, which is located 3km to the south-southwest. The saddle is located above the valley Karwendeltal.
