Hohe Scharte

Description:
Hohe Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2234 meters in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The saddle is located 5 km northeast from the center of Dienten am Hochkönig and 6 km east from the center of Hinterthal. The nearest mountain hut is Franz-Eduard-Matras-Haus, located 1.4km north-northeast. A little further is Stegmoosalm. West-southwest of the saddle is the valley Vorderglemmtal. The saddle is located above the ridge Taghaubenscharte.
