Karlscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 1968 meters located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located in country Austria 7 km south from the center of Großsölk and 7 km west-northwest from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal. The nearest mountain hut is Breitlahnhütte, located 7km west-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Fleiß Schwarzlechnerbrücke, which is located 4km to the east-northeast. The saddle is located north-northeast of the valley Rantengraben.
