The nearest mountain hut is Naturfreundehaus Säulinghaus, located 5km west-northwest. A bit closer is Bertlshütte, which is located 1.8km to the south-southwest. 5 km south of the saddle there is lake Plansee. The saddle is located east-northeast of the valley Lechtal.
