Description:
Melkerscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2814 meters in the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located 0.5 km west-southwest of peak Zsigmondyspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Berliner Hütte, located 3km south-southwest. A little further is hunting cottage Jagdhütte Wandegg. 0.5 km south-southeast of the saddle there is lake Eissee. 3 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Mörchnerkees, 4 km south-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schwarzensteinkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gunggltal.
