Description:
Palfenscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3150 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 6 km east-northeast from the center of Berg and 7 km east-northeast from the center of Gruben. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 3km east. bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte is a bit further away. 1.0 km south-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Gradötzkees, 5 km north from the saddle there is also glacier Granatspitzkees. The saddle is located west-southwest of the valley Dorfer Tal.
