Passo Payer is a saddle at an altitude of 2978 meters. The saddle is located 14 km southwest of Vermiglio and 16 km west-northwest of Carisolo and 0.2 km south-southwest of peak Cima Payer. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Mandrone, located 1.6km south-southeast. Even closer is bivouac Bivacco Passo Lago Scuro (Museo), which is located 0.7km to the north-northeast. 0.8 km east-southeast of the saddle there is lake Lago Scuro. 2 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Pisganino, 4 km southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Vedretta di Pisgana. The saddle is located above the valley Val Presena.
