Description:
Achselkopf is 2545 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.9 km west of peak Sauspitzl. The nearest mountain hut is Lenkjöchlhütte - Rifugio Giogo Lungo, located 2km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 5 km northwest of the peak there is lake Eissee. 2 km east from the summit there is glacier Östliches Kerrakees, 3 km east from the summit there is also glacier Äußeres Lahner Kees - Vedretta di Lana. South of the summit is the valley Schwarzachtal.
