Kleiner Gamstod is 3012 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.5 km west-northwest of peak Gamstod (Hohe Warte). The nearest mountain hut is Birnlückenhütte - Rifugio Brigata Tridentina, located 2km north. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 6 km northwest of the peak there is lake Eissee. 0.5 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Westliches Kerrakees, 0.8 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Östliches Kerrakees. The peak is located south of the valley Krimmler Achental.
