Bernkogel is 2325 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 5 km east-northeast from the center of Rauris and 5 km east-northeast from the center of Hundsdorf. The nearest mountain hut is Heinreich-Hochalm, located 1.3km east-southeast. Peterbauernalm is also relatively close. The peak is located vzhodno above the mountain pasture Lieskaralm. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Käfertal and vzhodno above the mountain pasture Lieskaralm.
